JORDAN:

The look on Catherine’s face when I told her she could have my pup in exchange for the suit… damn. I wasn’t expecting that level of shock. Her eyes flew so wide I thought they’d fall right out of her head. Her mouth dropped open like someone just slapped her soul.

“Are you serious?” she gasped, her voice shooting up an octave. “Are you kidding me right now? What do you take me for?”

I leaned back in my chair, lacing my fingers together. I didn’t say a word. I just watched. Her outrage was… entertaining.
