Alpha Rain decided to step out and meet the guests after making it an excuse to escape Grace's seduction. Who knows what he might do when her behavior goes on and how is he supposed to wash it off after it's done?

"Alpha Rain." Everyone greeted him in unison when he emerged from his study. There was a lounge across his door and that's where everyone was.

The guests seemed to be pleased with the hospitality so far, all thanks to Beta Samuel. Alpha Rain wore his ever-serious expression to meet the eyes of the seductive women in front of him. For now, he was confident that his mate wasn't among them because he couldn't pick up any addictive scent yet.

He could see how every woman gave a different expression as they looked at him and he gritted his teeth at their reactions. This was his umpteenth failure to find his mate and he was already frustrated. Nevertheless, he couldn't show the guests an image of how he wanted to send them flying out of his pack.

"Welcome to the Blue Moon pack and I hope you have a nice stay. You can stay as long as you want and if you find anything unpleasant, please talk to me or my Beta to make sure you are comfortable." Alpha Rain greeted with a not-so-warm voice.

He was already sitting on the couch across from the guests and he could feel his wolf urging him to walk away- just walk away!

He ignored the stubborn wolf on the back of his head and heard everyone's blubbering as they told him their qualifications to become his Luna. He smirked inwardly at everyone's words because they were the same words he heard from all the previous guests.

On a few occasions, some Alphas set him on blind dates with their daughters and he always had the same lines... Alpha bloodline, good education, and Capability to lead the pack, but that's not what they were actually.

He could see their dark intentions to pull him down with his pack and seduce him in order to find flaws in his name. But whom were they kidding? He didn't only become an Alpha of such a big pack only because of the Alpha blood running in his veins.

He spent his childhood training physically and mentally and he knew how to deal with different circumstances at any time.

"Beta Samuel will instruct a few ladies to escort you to your rooms as you need to rest after a long journey. We shall meet later during dinner as I have a few tasks to accomplish before that time. See you then." Alpha Rain said as he already stood up to leave the lounge.

It was funny to him how those words were so familiar on his tongue. He used the same words every time he dealt with such situations and it didn't seem wrong at all.

At first, he always became disappointed after not finding his mate but as it went on, he accepted it and found ways to deal with it without hurting anyone's feelings. All the things that transpired could be taken out.

You could make him greet his guests and watch everything at arms length.

.....

Two days had passed ever since the guests from Amber Moon Pack arrived at the Blue Moon pack. Alpha Rain made sure to avoid them without making it obvious, giving reasons for how they had security emergencies that needed to be settled as soon as possible.

He especially avoided Grace who was bound to follow him everywhere which he disagreed with by defining how dangerous it was. Grace was a beautiful blonde with waist-length hair and hazel eyes. Her features were defined perfectly as far as eyes could see and she had long white legs with a just-fine butt size.

Alpha Rain looked at her and she was comparable to those he had bedded before and there wasn't an obstacle between them just that he was tired of that shit. He was facing the problem of forgetting the women he bedded before and he was afraid that anyone could use it against him anytime.

"Alpha Rain," Grace called behind him. She had followed him to the training grounds saying that she wanted to train as well and become able to protect herself in case she was in trouble.

"Yes, miss." Rain answered coldly without turning to look at her.

"You've got a number of warriors here and I can see that you put their training first. Do you think my brother can visit your pack and learn from you? This way, you won't only teach him how to train his warriors but you can also build a strong connection between our two packs." Grace tried to strike her chances.

"As an Alpha of the Amber Moon Pack, your brother must have ways to train his warriors and prepare them for possible attacks or even wars and as an Alpha of the Blue Moon pack, I don't poke my nose in other pack's businesses." Alpha Rain said, trying to sound as polite as possible. His wolf was on the edge of snapping Grace away but he urged the stubborn guy to leave this to him.

Grace's mouth formed an 'o' reaction and she didn't say anything anymore. No matter how much she fought for chances to become this man's Luna, nothing was getting to him. She even faked a stomachache during breakfast this morning to get to him but he handed her over to the omegas.

Everyone on the training ground was focusing on improving themselves and Alpha didn't say much as he left the talking to his beta.

He was thinking about how the guests in his pack had stayed more than necessary since everyone already knew that his mate wasn't among them. Still, he made sure that everyone had a nice stay despite his irritation from bumping into women who tried to seduce him everywhere.

'Guests from the Steel Howlers Pack should be here by tomorrow but since we still have guests from Amber Moon Pack around, we have to postpone their arrival.' Beta Samuel spoke to Rain through the mind link and he observed as his eyebrows came together into a frown.

The truth is that Alpha Rain almost forgot about his pending appointments.

'No need to postpone it. I will visit their pack on my own.' Rain surprised his beta with his words.

'But...what are we supposed to tell the guests here when you are away? They might take it as you avoiding them and the connections between our packs won't be good.' Samuel sounded confused and puzzled at the same time. It would be easy to deal with if he just postponed the arrival of the other group till this one left but still, he understood that he needed to find his mate as soon as possible.

' Schedule my flight for tomorrow morning and find convincing reasons for them that won't stir any trouble or bring misunderstandings.'

  • ALPHA RAIN   The light after the storm

The Blue moon pack felt different now. The air was lighter. The tree stood still, no longer whispering warnings. Rain returned before sunrise, his fur stain with blood, dirt and ashes but his spirit clean. Victory had never tasted so bitter-sweet until... he saw her.Ketra was waiting on the steps of the pack doctor's cabin, wrapped in a showl. Her eyes reflected something only Rain could name. Home. The moment their eyes met, he shifted. She smelled so good, he dropped to his knees before her and pressed his forehead on her belly with his arms circled around his chest. How he missed this feeling of being in his mate's proximity. He would turn the world around to maintain this peace and feel this way forever."I came back." He whispered as he inhaled her addictive scent. He had missed her and he was worried about her all this time. But knowing that the man whose intention was to use her for his spells had died with them, he felt at peace."I know," she murmured, her fingers threading t

  • ALPHA RAIN   Brice's end

Brice tore off the remnants of his robe leaving his chest bare. It was covered in dark runes that pulsed with unholy light. His body twisted, bones cracking as the dark magic coursed through him, warping his form into something no longer human nor wolf.Rain took a step forward, his eyes narrowing. "He's merging. Dark magic with his wolf. This is what Josh warned us about." he said through gritted teeth.Josh and Greg immediately backed toward Rain and formed a triangle with the rest of the warriors circling behind them. Then Brice let out a roar. It wasn't just a battle cry. It was pain and fury and something ancient. The runes of his skin erupted in black flames and his transformation finished. His body appeared larger and his muscles had overgrown. His eyes burning red. Shadowy tendrils twisted from his back like wings that never formed."You think I will fall today?" Brice hissed. "You should have killed me before I became god."Rain's claws extended fully, his body glowing faintl

  • ALPHA RAIN   Zero chances

The deeper they went, the darker it grew. Even thought the sun had risen above the horizon, the cursed forest blocked out nearly all the light. Trees bent unnaturally with branches twisted like clawed hands. The entire atmosphere was strange but expected nothing less than that.“We’re almost there.” Josh told Rain when he sensed he was looking at him from the sides.“This is where he draws his circles. Blood, bones, spells, He’s been using this place for year.”“Then we burn it.” Rain said coldly. This was the only thing that would make sense in this area according to him. He would burn Brice in this area too... his generations would hardly stand a chance too.Greg crouched beside a moss covered rock, his eyes scanning the forest floor. “Over there. Look, there a symbols and they seem recent.” He caught everyone’s attention by pointing to a freshly etched circle, stained with blood, the air above it crackling with raw and unstable energy. Rain stepped forward bravely. He extended his

  • ALPHA RAIN   The unexpected

The night air was quiet. Too quietBeta Samuel stood atop the Eastern watch tower of the Blue moon pack, his eyes scanning the forest edge. The moonlight kissed the tops of the trees, casting eerie silver shadows, and yet his wolf stirred restlessly.A breeze swept by carrying a familiar scent of burned fur and blood magic. "They're here." he said upon sensing them. They were expecting them after the talk they had with Greg, Josh and Haylee. These three were familiar with George and Brice. They knew when they attacked, how they attacked and how they moved in groups."Alert the warriors at all borders. None gets in." Beta Samuel commanded and the warriors obeyed immediately. With the information he had and the strategy he had made with Alpha Rain earlier, none of this group was supposed to enter the Blue moon pack. Magic or power.A second later, Haylee appeared at his side, already in a crouch, her sharp sensing confirming their presence. She looked tiny and young but she was a warrio

  • ALPHA RAIN   Before the storm

The night air was thick with silence. The stars above the blue moon pack shimmered faintly but the tension dulled in their land. Inside the infirmary, Rain sat beside Ketra's bed, his elbows resting on his knees, his hands tangled together.A few hours ago he had a talk with her and Kathy about Alpha George and Ketra just said it was okay. He was better dead that complicating their lives. She had then went back to sleep. She was now sleeping fully . The bruises on her skin had started to fade and the doctor had said she would be fine with rest. But Rain's wolf didn't rest. Not when Brice was still breathing.A light knock tapped against the door. Rain didn't look up. "Come in." He said flatly.Josh stepped in, still limping from the earlier blow Rain had landed on him. His side was bandaged and his arm hanged stiffly, but his eyes were stable. He looked at Ketra who was sleeping briefly and looked at Alpha Rain."She's... doing better?" He asked which Rain only gave a nod. Josh hesita

  • ALPHA RAIN   He is not around

The tree whipped passed Rain in a blur of green and shadow as his paws pounded the earth. Her scent was getting heavier and he chased the closeness to get to the owner. He flew above dry logs in the forest, sprinting with purpose as he went forward. And there she was, bruised, weak and slumped against a boulder. Her clothes were torn. Her lips dry and cracked but she was alive.Beside her stood Josh and Greg. Rain didn't think. He roared so loudly causing birds to scatter from the trees. Rain's wolf launched through the air like lightening, his claws colliding with Greg, sending him crashing into a tree with a sickening thud.He didn't even wait to see if he was breathing as he immediately turned to launch to Josh, fangs bared.Josh stepped back at a lightening speed dodging Rain's attack. He raised his hands, "We didn't hurt her. We..."Too late. Rain struck. A brutal swipe to Josh's chest sent him flying the log just behind him and blood gashed out of him."Rain STOP!" Her voice hit
