Athena/Abena POV 

(Five years later)

"You look so colorful as the butterflies!" That's the flatterer's voice. I was standing by the window, being dressed by Omegas. Today, I'm getting married to the Alpha of Shekina glory pack. Alpha Gilmore, the alpha of all alpha's guiding the territory of Gilmore estate and beyond. I smiled and stole a quick glance of the flatterer, Gwen by name.

The fact she doesn't know it's me now, is indeed troubling for me. She was my best friend, months ago, we were raking leaves together and now, she's by my side after I picked her singlehandedly to be my flatterer. We have been through a lot of shits together.

I stole one more glance of her and hummed silently. The most adorable gift a Luna could ever possess are flatterers like Gwen, who though their beauty is of high value to the eyes that sees them, and to the lips that speak of them, are reduced to praise singers to Luna.

I shake my head in total disappointment. I can't blow my cover, at least not now I'm so close to becoming Luna of Winterhaven pack. It is indeed too early to tell her, I'm the same Rina, she has known all her life but I have changed so much, I mean, for the better.

After I died that fateful night, I was resurrected by the breath of life. The king himself gave it to me and now I've become a new person. Those bruises and scars are gone; both my eyes, hair color, everything about me has changed for the better. Yes, I reincarnated!

Alpha Asher took me to the neighborhood pack and kept me in secret until I finally got myself and today, I will become his lawful wedded Luna. Please don't call me a man thief, he asked me to marry him and of course, I said yes!

I took a look at the gown I was to wear, rumors have it, it has been worn by a thousand Luna's of Winterhaven pack. It is worn once, on the day the alpha's mate is to be marked Luna.

"Mermaids adore your beauty, and angels just after your shadow!" Gwen added. She sounded like a poet, who is bent on mocking creatures of great beauty to please her lover.

The loud sound of the pack's trumpet rippled into the room through the open Windows, stealing the sweet words of Gwen to stop.

"The hour has come my lady!" Gwen announced.

It's time to set out to the gathering outside and meet the stage in wait for the big ceremony.

The Omegas were done adoring me already and the gamma assigned to take me has arrived at the door post, with a few pack warriors, who are duty bound to escort me to the people's palace.

I watch as Gwen stops her words of praise, she's not in any way allowed to step out of the chambers of the Luna. She is meant to remain there all her life and serve as nothing but Luna's praise singer. But I promise her one thing, I will change the cause, when I finally become the Luna of Winterhaven pack.

"Shall we, my lady?" Said the gamma and I nodded back in response.

The gamma led the way, while I, the Omegas and the pack warriors followed suits.

It was another feeling for me, being adored, heavily guarded and matching into the hallways. Just last season, I was just a weak slave, raking leaves and feeding the pigs and today, I'm becoming the Luna of the strongest pack of our clan where the pack chief elders, alpha's of different packs, counselors and well respected noble men will witness today's celebration.

The entire clan has already gathered in the people's palace, waiting to witness the great event of the season.

The crowd hummed in jubilee immediately they saw me, in the silk gown most of the Luna's of the pack were worn on the days they were marked.

Winterhaven Pack, I give you your Luna to be, Abena Woods. Came the loud husky voice of the orator.

I know you will be asking how my name was Abena. Yes, I changed my name and I'm unapologetic!

The Clan hummed again and again. Usually, the Luna is meant to come first, and after the Luna, the alpha will emerge, only in the case of the Alpha will the clan shout, the shout of honor, but for the Luna, they only hum.
