Chapter Fifteen

After lunch, Amanda was about leaving, when Elvis offered to take her back to the office with his motorcycle, but Amanda declined. Elvis asked her whether she was ashamed of his motorcycle. Amanda said she is not ashamed of his motorcycle. Amanda insisted on taking a taxi because she didn't come with her own car as a result of Tricia's refusal to give her back her car key for some days.

Amanda was waiting for a taxi, when Elvis quickly sent a text to his driver to drop Amanda at the office. 

Elvis joined Amanda at the place she was waiting for a taxi, under the pretence that he wants to keep her company until a taxi comes. They were still standing there when a beautiful black range Rover of the latest model pulled over.

The man in the range Rover who was wearing a black suit came out and pretending to be a friend of Elvis, whom he has not seen for a very long time, exclaimed, " wow! Elvis, where have you been? It's been a long time.

Elvis pretending to be surprise gave him a handshake and replied, "Joe, I have not seen you since after our graduation from the high school."

Joe looked at Amanda and asked, who is this gorgeous damsel? She is so gorgeous. Elvis put up a  fake smile, but within him he was so angry that his driver is crossing his boundary by admiring his Amanda. He said to himself that, this is not part of their plan. Elvis replied, "Amanda is a very good friend of mine. In fact, she is a friend that I do not joke with."

Both Amanda and his driver, Joe sensed jealousy from his reply and Joe knew that that he has a question to answer after the whole drama.

Joe asked " Where are you headed? I will drop you off." Elvis whose initial plan was for Joe to drop only Amanda at her office, decided against it. 

Elvis told him where they were going. He was about entering the car when he heard Amanda's voice. She asked  Elvis about his motorcycle he left at the restaurant. Elvis who has forgotten about the motorcycle immediately told her that, he will come back later for it.

They were close to Amanda's office when Joe said, "Elvis, I really want us to talk about something important in a quiet place after dropping your friend at her office."

The essence of saying that was to take Elvis back to his office without Amanda suspecting a foul play.

When Amanda was about alighting, Elvis pecked her and told her that he will be expecting her call and response, in respect of what they discussed today. Amanda who was blushing when he pecked her, gave him the most beautiful smile and replied that, she will definitely call him the next time.

After Amanda alighted, Joe sped off, but he was scared because, he earlier admired Amanda which made his boss jealous. Secondly, he has been calling his boss by his name, although it was his boss idea but to him it doesn't seem right.

He was about apologising to his boss, when he heard his voice, " what was the meaning of that? Was admiring Amanda part of our plan? Do you want me to fire you because of your careless utterances? I know that she is gorgeous but I didn't expect you to say that. 

Joe said, " Sir, I am really sorry. I didn't know that you will get angry. You wanted it to appear to be real and that was why I did that, so that it will look so real. Please sir, do not fire me. I promise, I will not make such mistake again.

Joe was so surprised that his boss could be so jealous like that. He has been working for him for a long time and he was aware  that his boss never paid an attention to any woman. He even rejected many classy ladies, who came his way, yet he is here trying to fire him because he admired Amanda. Joe was happy that his boss is in love but he didn't expect him to be a jealous type, because with the type of wealth he has, he can get any lady he wants.

Elvis called one of his men to go to the restaurant and get the motorcycle.
