Chapter 23: "Just Can't Stop"

  Adam hated himself for acting so stubborn. His heart broke into pieces seeing Kristine’s horrible condition. Her face was full of bruises. She had multiple cuts everywhere. She suffered a lot and here he was just staring at her and couldn’t reverse everything that had happened. Marga noticed Adam’s gestures and started to talked to him.

“I myself, couldn’t believe Doc Alfe was capable of doing such horrible things”, Marga commented.

After Myla left Kris, Marga immediately rescued her, good thing Adam came after few hours and brought Kris to a safer placed.

“thank you for not leaving her alone”, uttered Adam.

“you are welcome, I am not that bad after all”, she smiled.

Kris was still unconscious and it was getting dark so they decided to stay in the forest for another night.

“are you hungry?”, asked Adam to Marga.

“a little bit”
