CHAPTER NINE; SIMILAR ROSES

“Every new friend is a new adventure… the start of more memories”- Patrick Lindsay.

‘First day wasn’t so bad’, Aurora said.

Though she knew was still upset with him, he didn’t seem to give a penny about her. Aurora thought why he started acting up, she was certain she didn’t say anything wrong and she knew for a fact he was okay with the new set-up, unless he wouldn’t have shared the same space with her.

‘Is there any other snacks you would like’, the waitress said bringing her out of her thoughts.

‘No thanks, I am fine with this’, she said pointing to the snacks on her table.

Aurora after closing went over the lower floor to grab some evening snacks with the manager and waitress. She truly needed someone to talk to, one who will aid her in getting out of this mood she found herself in.  Watching the waitress made her realize that she had no friends in his world, no one to relate with. Her brother Kinsley was always busy with activities but she knew better than to keep any friends, especially what happened with hephzi. In her course of interaction, Aurora gets to know the manager as dell and the waitress as Sydney. They seem to be the only one around that wanted to accommodate her in the office.

‘Why are you so upset, did anything happen’, Sydney asked.

‘Did the boss treat you poorly’, she continued.

Aurora noticed her mood was rubbing off on them, they just wanted to offer her an evening snack in appreciation to her past deeds but all she’s doing is to way them down with her mood. She never let things get to her; she couldn’t explain why this did though.

‘Oh! No, I am alright’, Aurora replied.

‘Just having a little off time with Neville’, she continued.

She could tense how they tensed up hearing his name, no matter how much they masked it. She explained all that happened to them and her disappointment.

‘That is easy, I was expecting something worst’, Dell said

‘It’s making everything awkward and it bothers me’, Aurora lamented.

‘Then talk to him about it’, Sydney replied.

‘I feel proper communication would solve this, you guys just have to talk it out’, she continued.

Aurora thought of possible different route the conversation would take. But she wouldn’t deny that communication was needed to solve this hiccup. She made up her mind to have a proper communication with him tomorrow, when she gets to work. After the conversation about Neville, they talked about random stuffs that do and enjoy, trying to create a strong bound within them. The conversation stretch out a bit, more then what aurora expected but she didn’t want to cut it short, which she did to ensure she gets back early to prepare her for tomorrow. She bid her new buddies while she got into her car, was driven home to retired for the night.
