Aaliyah’s POV

Six years later

I never understood how powerful peace was until The Clarks and Ameliia Winthrop were convicted and put behind bars . I can now say Life is peaceful , not the kind of peace that comes and goes like a Yoyo but the permanent kind. The kind you feel from knowing No one and nothing can hurt you anymore .

I am seated on my Favourite rocking chair on our porch . Watching as the sun descends in Shark fin , the sight so beautiful it almost moves me to tears. I stretch

    I am jolted awake by the harrowing wind the trees thrashing on my window . Iook out the windiw the dky a very dsrk cloudy gray but I can’t let it dull my mood .     We reach Shark fin gates just as the sun starts to set . My pulse has finally settled into its regular pattern , but my stomach still feels tight . Nerves I guess , its not over till its over . As usual the security wave us in as we head for the safe house to get Karly and her family settled in first before heading home for Dinner . Just before we take the last sharp turn on our left , Gabe takes a right turn instead and we park on a different street filled with cute Small apartments and children playing on the freshly mowed grass out front .Gabe expertly drives the car into the next empty curb . I look outside towards the kids playing as the other car parks and Karly ,her husband step out carrying their kids . Dawson following closely behind with their luggage.     I come face to face with Brandon! I am sandwiched between Desmond and Shawn taking deep calming breaths trying to keep my pulse in check. As we approach their wooden back fence we find it wide open the kids toys coming into view on the grassy back lown My stomach tightens ,The backdoor should not be open like this. I slow down whispering under my breath “Have they breached their yard already?” Brandon lifts his hand and we all pause in unison. We hear a sharp grunt sound pierce the air and another with a sound of a hard body landing on the ground .I take a deep shuddering breath.     The security at Shark fin gates seem to pick up on the urgency of our movements as for the first time they wave us out without doing a security check. Puzzled by this behaviour I turn to Brandan who is seated opposite me “Brandon how come they didn't do the usual security sweep?” He locks his eyes on me as he smirks “I might have had Dawson call them and tell them, We have an emergency no delays”Shawn whistles in admiration “That is really impressive Alpha I have to admit”Desmond shifts in his seat giving Brandon a sharp nod “Smart move Alpha “ Brandon smiles “thanks time is off the essence we already have a long journey ahead of us” he looks at his watch then at each one of us. “All of you wear your seatbelts, He adds we will be using the gear 5 super speed to arrive faster”Shawn gives out a small chuckle “ That is the way ahah ah ah” Desmond chuckles singing along “We like it aha aha” Brandon's mouth tugs into a small smile as I burst out laughing not able to contain it.
