Exorcism

The demon attacked again, ramming its claws into Godric's light shield. He heard a crack and looked to his protection. Cracks appeared in the air. They came from his invisible protection. Godric knew it wouldn't last much longer. It was the first time Godric uttered this protection. He was not yet mature and therefore weak towards a being of darkness who harbored true killing intentions. Godric heard the screams of the people, thought feverishly what he could do. It was of no use to people if they only hid themselves behind their protection. Godric didn't want this either. He wanted to face the task, no matter how little he knew about his attacker. More people shouldn't suffer. Then an idea occurred to him. "I hope the protection lasts for this short time." Godric folded his hands in prayer. Only the index fingers were spread apart.
