DALIA'S POV

My life had changed so much in just nearly four months. I was pregnant with the baby of a man I could not stand the sight of, and dad was bedridden at the home. Emily and I had gone to see dad every two weeks since I got the news. He didn't seem to be getting any better, but he didn't seem to be getting worse either. The extra care incured more expenses for me, but I didn't mind. Emily had also offered to pay half of the extra fees with me. I declined but after a passionate speech about how he was just a much as her dad as he was mine, and a long trip round memory lane, I gave in.

After West asked for a paternity test, I asked my nurse how soon we could do one. She gave a look filled with judgement, but proceeded to tell me it could be done after the first fourteen to twenty weeks of pregnancy. I had passed this information across to Eros via email, as that had been our means of communication ever since I came to apologise at his office that day.
