Kevin's presence was a blessing. He kept Racheal occupied and, most importantly, off my couch and out of my apartment, taking her to her doctor's appointments all the time. He spent most of the time listening to her rant about Randolph, and he was patient, listening. Kevin wanted to move to town to rent a place, but I insisted he remains in Racheal's supposed apartment. It took a lot of convincing, but he soon agreed. I did not want to be apart from my brother again.

Cindy entered the apartment while I was preparing the finger size food for the game night. She had with her two packs of beer.

I noticed Cindy had been coming more often but kept it to myself. She came to the kitchen and placed the beers in the freezer. We hugged, and she asked about Jasper.

"Yet to return from work," I said, and she nodded quietly.

" What about Kevin?" She asked me.

" He took Racheal to her doctor's appointment. They should be on their way back," I said, and she opened a bottle of beer and wor
