Apollo’s POV
I released Ryder, who was pinned to the wall with my claws digging into his skin. He coughed up blood and glared at me, but I ignored him. My attention was on Zelda, who was packing her clothes as I had instructed her. I couldn't bear to look at her. She had become pregnant by another man and was pretending to be innocent. I despised women like her.
I had been trying to break her, to make her beg for my forgiveness on her knees, just like her parents wanted. But she was still resisting. She was afraid of me, and that pleased me.
Without wasting a moment, I took out my car keys and grabbed her hand tightly. She fought back, but a single glare from me was enough to make her calm down. The warriors and servants watched as we left the packhouse. They respected me, for I was the soon-to-be alpha of my pack.
We entered the garage, and I dragged her towards my car. She struggled, but I held her firmly. I opened the door and pushed her inside. She fell onto the seat, and I got into the driver's seat.
"You know, Sweetheart," I said, breaking the silence. "You really messed up. You should never have slept with him."
"I didn't sleep with him," she whispered, tears streaming down her face.
"Then who did you sleep with? I bet if I leave you in the streets to die, the man who got you pregnant will come running to save you," I demanded.
"You got me pregnant! You asshole! You are the only one I have slept with recently," she said barely above a whisper.
"Language. You should lower your tone when talking to an Alpha like me! I didn’t get you pregnant, and secondly, I hate whores," I said, my voice low and menacing.
I glanced over at her and saw the fear in her eyes. It gave me a sense of power, knowing that I could make her feel that way.
My hands were shaking as I started the car and drove out of Ryder's packhouse. I saw Ryder standing by the gate, blocking me from passing.
"Please don't do this, don't take her out there, she will die," he said. "Why are you doing this, man?" he asked, his tone laced with concern.
"I have my reasons," I replied, my voice cold and distant.
I stepped on the gas, not caring that Ryder was standing on the other side of the car. When he saw that I was going to hit him, he moved out of the way, along with his warriors who were standing behind him. I broke open the gate of the packhouse with my car and drove out onto the cold morning road, glancing at Zelda, who was breathing heavily in the back seat.
Halfway down the road, I searched for a deserted area to drop her off that was away from my friend's packhouse. "Beg for my forgiveness, and I will accept you as my mate," I spoke coldly. She glared at me with disgust.
"Is that all?" she mocked.
"You're right, that's not all. I will only accept you if you abort the child in your womb. I can't raise another man's child; I am an Alpha wolf," I said firmly.
"I won't do it," Zelda replied, her voice resolute.
"You leave me no choice," I replied, my eyes narrowing in anger.
Zelda tried her best not to cry and looked me straight in the eyes. No one had ever done that before; I was a little amazed.
"Go to hell!" she spat out. "I don't know why you're doing all this, but you'll regret your decisions one day, you prick!" she cursed.
"I never regret my decisions," I said confidently. "I'm too smart to make mistakes." She let out an annoying laugh.
I angrily stopped the car in the middle of the road while other cars zoomed past us. "Get out, since you don't want to ask for forgiveness," I declared. Zelda looked outside at the busy road from the backseat of the car. She knew that if she got out and didn't get hit by a car, it would be a miracle.
"Please, Apollo," she pleaded, her voice trembling with fear. "Don't do this."
"You are not allowed to address me formally," I replied sternly. "Make a decision, or else I will leave you in the streets where no one will find you, not even Ryder. You will become lost and probably die of starvation with your baby."
Zelda began hitting her head against the edge of the seat, causing pain in my chest despite my rejection. However, I didn't let it show and maintained a cold demeanor. Zelda searched for an object in the car to cut herself with, to test whether I would react if she harmed herself since I was her mate. I noticed this and turned off the car completely.
"Stop it," I said, my voice filled with anger. "Get out of my car. That's an order." She tried to protest, but she couldn’t disobey the alpha’s order, so she ran out of the car and narrowly crossed the busy road to the other side.
I clutched my chest, trying my best not to look at her, and made a U-turn in the direction of Ryder's packhouse. I tried my best not to look at her in the side mirror, even though I wanted to hate her.
"Is she really telling the truth? Is she really carrying my child?" I asked my wolf, Hawk, but got no response. Since the day we accidentally killed Matilda, my human ex-girlfriend in our wolf form, he hadn't been the same. He isolated himself, and sometimes I feel like I don't have a wolf anymore.
Suddenly a car double-crossed me, almost causing an accident. I slammed on the brakes and looked out of the window to see who was inside the car, but the windows were tinted, and I couldn't see anything.
My anger boiled over, and I got out of my car to confront the person. As I approached the car, I could see a figure inside, but I still couldn't make out who it was.
"What the hell do you think you're doing?" I yelled, my voice full of rage.
The person in the car stepped out, revealing himself to be Ryder. He was holding Zelda's bag, the one I didn't let her take with her. I had hoped she would beg me to take her back, but now I couldn't care less about her."Ryder, what the fuck are you doing here?" I asked impatiently. We faced each other in the middle of the road, our anger simmering. I could sense that Ryder was looking for a fight, but I knew I was stronger than him, so I tried to reason with him."What are you doing here, Ryder?" I asked calmly. He stepped forward, his fists clenched at his sides. "Where is she, Apollo?" he growled.I held up my hand to try and placate him. "She's safe," I said. "I put her in a hotel."Ryder narrowed his eyes. "How do I know you're telling the truth?" he demanded.I shrugged. "Believe what you want," I said. "But it's true. I bought her everything she needs so she doesn't need that bag you're holding."Ryder looked down at the bag in his hand, then back up at me. "You're a heartless
Zelda’s POVIt was a dark, cold night, and my baby bump was causing me pain as my unborn child kicked furiously within my stomach. I was hungry and thirsty, but I had nothing to eat or drink. Apollo had thrown me out of Ryder's packhouse without even letting me take my things or have a shower. I waited for him to come back, hoping he would realize his mistake, but I was losing hope.I tried my best not to cry, but my eyes filled with tears anyway. I sat on the cold floor for what felt like an hour, but I didn't know what time it was. The cars on the road had slowed down, and there weren't many anymore. My legs ached.Suddenly, a passerby stopped in front of me. He was a man, and he extended a sandwich to me, thinking I was a street beggar. I felt awful, but I accepted it. As soon as I did, other pack members started walking past me, throwing money at me. Before I knew it, I had unintentionally become a pregnant street beggar who had been neglected by my mate and family. The sandwich w
I was lying on the bed, taking the vitamin pills prescribed by the doctor to keep my baby healthy, when Ryder entered the room."Alpha, you weren't supposed to enter yet," the doctor said. "But since you're the father of her baby, I understand your actions."Embarrassed, I blushed as the doctor referred to Ryder as the father of my child, even though he wasn't. For some reason, I found myself wishing he was the real father. Apollo was a jerk. The doctor instructed Ryder to take good care of me and ensure I ate enough fruit. He also warned him to make sure I didn't get exposed to cold again, as it was not good for the baby in my womb."Is there anything else I should be doing to take care of her and the baby?" Ryder asked. The doctor hesitated before telling him that our baby wasn't very healthy. Ryder clenched his fist in anger, visibly upset."What can we do to ensure the baby's health?" Ryder asked tensely."The baby will be born in a few months," the doctor said. "By then, she shou
“In the morning, I followed your scent to a hotel and got you out of there, leaving the girl a note and money since she was still asleep,” Seth said, his voice low. I knew Seth was talking about me, but I knew they wouldn’t believe it if I said anything, so I just listened. We drove in silence after that, the tension between them palpable. As Apollo and I entered the packhouse, I couldn't help but feel overwhelmed by the sheer grandeur of it all. The spotless marble floors and the crystal chandelier hanging from the ceiling illuminated the living room. I had always heard rumors about how luxurious the packhouse was, but seeing it firsthand was an entirely different experience. Ryder couldn't come in with us because Hazel called him, and he left early. Alpha Nicholas greeted me warmly and took my hand, kissing it gently. Although he was kind, I couldn't help but feel guilty for being here with his son when I had thought I was supposed to marry him. As we walked further into the pack
Labor felt endless, the ruthless rain pounding against the windows, echoing the chaos within my body. Thunder rumbled, shaking the room's very foundations, and adding to the mess unfolding around me. Pain overcame me, radiating from every fiber of my being, making it impossible to concentrate on anything else. The male doctor and pack maids rushed to assist me, their efforts seemingly in vain. My forehead glistened with sweat, and my heart pounded in my chest. Finally, after what seemed like an eternity, the moment arrived. Exhausted and weak, I lay on the bed, desperately trying to catch my breath. Yet, my relief was short-lived. Apollo stormed into the room, his eyes devoid of warmth. Tension crackled in the air as he approached the bed, hooked on our newborn son. It was as if he sought evidence, some form of proof that the child was truly his. "Little bird, step aside," Apollo commanded with harshness, his gaze piercing our innocent baby boy on the bed. Weak and confused, I sat
I took a deep breath, trying to steady myself. "What are you talking about, Apollo?" I asked, my voice trembling slightly."This DNA test proves that the child isn't mine," Apollo replied, his voice filled with anger and accusation. "You lied to me."My heart sank at his words. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. "Apollo, I didn't lie to you," I protested, tears welling up in my eyes. "I don't understand how the test could be wrong.""Don't play dumb with me," he growled, his eyes burning with rage. "You slept with someone else. You're a lying... you're a lying woman."His words hit me like a slap in the face. I couldn't believe that the man I loved, the man I had built a life with, could think so little of me. "No, Apollo, I would never betray you like that," I pleaded, my voice barely above a whisper. He scoffed, his face twisted with contempt. "Save your lies for someone else," he spat. "I've heard enough."Tears streamed down my face as I struggled to find the right words. "Apo
ALPHA APOLLO'S POV I burst into Seth's room, my heart thrumming with a volatile mix of anger and betrayal. The sight that met my eyes was infuriating—him entwined with a whore, their naked bodies shamelessly intertwined. Without a second thought, I seized her by the hair, forcefully wrenching her away from Seth, and hurled her out of the room, depriving her even of her clothes. Planting my leg on the edge of the bed, I leaned in, my voice a low growl that matched the storm brewing within me. "You're a fucking imbecile. Turns out, the baby wasn't mine, just as I suspected. Remember seeing me with that blonde girl? Even if I had slept with her, I would have taken every precaution to ensure she didn't conceive." Seth nodded, visibly trembling with fear. I locked eyes with him, my gaze penetrating his very soul. "Now, spill it, Seth. What else are you hiding?" He stuttered, his voice barely audible above a whisper. "I…I sabotaged all your condoms. Your father instructed me to do it. He
Zelda’s POVI walked through the pack house, my baby boy, August cradled in my arms. It had been a few weeks since I arrived at Alpha Nathan's pack, and while I appreciated his hospitality, I refused to sit idly by and do nothing. I had always been independent, and motherhood didn't change that. I wanted to contribute, to work alongside the pack, and prove my worth."Zel, you don't have to do this," Tracy said, concern etched on her face. "You should be resting and taking care of yourself and the baby."I smiled at Tracy, appreciating her worry for me. "I understand your concern, Tracy, but I need to feel useful. Besides, taking care of the farm work keeps me active and helps me clear my mind."Alpha Nathan approached us, his eyes gleaming with admiration. "Zelda, I must say, I'm impressed by your determination. It's refreshing to see someone who wants to contribute rather than relying solely on others."I felt a sense of pride wash over me at his words. "Thank you, Alpha Nathan. I do
