CHAPTER 13: HEARING

"Your Honor, we don't care what they're gonna say, because all the convicted criminals say it the same way to dress up their filthy hands, and that's how the evidence bulldozes all the nonsense reasoning. Your Honor, May I approach the bench?" The Prosecutor spoke up.

The judge says the purpose of this initial appearance was to give rights to the defendant to know the charges and set bail. It is not the appropriate stage to present a full defense or argue the merits of the case, but the judge gave him a signal for his request. The prosecutor picked up the phone from the table, then walked closer to the bench and handed a phone to the judge, asking to play the audio recording that captured Athena's words for them. As they started listening to the audio recording, in the middle of it, Athena couldn't stop herself but to pronounce what her heart wanted to say:

"It's a lie!"

The judge commanded her to sit down and let them finish listening to the recording. In the last word of the audio,
