Chapter 10

"She's very beautiful, isn't she? Even her complexion is porcelain as if she's bathing in milk," a nurse who was wiping the girl's cheek said.

" True, even her eyes are unusual; they're so light and golden in color; could she be a foreigner?" another nurse inquired.

"Perhaps; her appearance is unusual among us Filipinos, but the information attached to her is the opposite," responded another nurse. " Her parents are both Filipinos," she says.

"Maybe she's adopted?"

"Be quiet, Clara. The young men might hear you," reprimanded the oldest of them and stand as the head nurse. While looking around, the nurse covered her mouth. "I apologize."

"I saw the information that the young master provided as well as the photos of the girl's family; she looks exactly like her brother, and his eyes are also golden in color," said the person wiping the girl's face.

"Then the young woman appears truly blessed; her acquired beauty is divine," the two agreed. " This is probably why the three young men rushed over to see her," one of them chuckled.

"You're right! I'm jealous of what I saw as well. When will three handsome men rush to see me?" sighs one nurse.

"But how do you think she's related to them? It's unlikely she's related to them; the surnames of the three young men are well known in our society," another inquired.

"Couldn't they all be the girls' boyfriends?"

" If you don't want to lose your job, Clara, lower your voice." scolded by the head nurse again. The nurse bows down, "Please accept my apologies, ma'am."

"Wasn't Faustina got fired for taking a photo of the young man's visit to this girl, which caused such a stir? Couldn't that gossip be true?"

"Maybe"

"Clara and Merida, stop gossiping about the girl and finish cleaning her; we still have a lot to do. The doctor is on his way," the head nurse said as she stood up, as did the other two nurses.

The two nurses left first, while the head nurse who remained put away some of the other items they used.

She looked around the room to make sure no one was there, then returned her attention to the girl, who was still sleeping soundly. She takes out her hidden camera and takes a picture. She was the one who took the photo of the young man and gave the scoop to the reporters without the doctor's knowledge.

Because Luther was evasive in public, reporters were unable to obtain almost no information from him.

The young head nurse is the daughter of a columnist; she had no idea that this temporary job would breathe new life into her parents' work.

All she needs to do is take a picture of the two of them together. The more headlines the young man was involved in, the more money her parents could receive.

Smiling and staring at the photo she took. The girl's face can cause a stir in public, especially when she is dragged along with the young CEO. "I'm sorry, but my parents are more important," she said to the girl.

She knows her actions were wrong, but her family came first. She gave the girl one last look before leaving the room, murmuring, "Tomorrow you'll be in the news, and you'll probably thank me for it."

----

"Have you gathered any information about Le'Roux?" Luther asked as he sat in his swivel chair in his office

Within a minute, his two companions joined him. The three young men continued their mission after visiting the girl yesterday, and they are now embarking on a new plan.

"That clan has been dissolved. According to my source, the founder was assassinated along with his family, but what surprised me was who was behind the assassination," Kheed stated, “Asano.”

The two young men sat silent as they considered what he had said. Why would Asano murder their ally? Aren't they the clans that murdered his parents?

"The only thing I see around here is power. They could be fighting each other to see who is superior." Lucas analyzes the scenario, gaining agreement from both Luther and Kheed. "That could be the case. “

"Then I don't think we'll get any on that clan," Lucas remarked.

"There is," Kheed said, his lips curled, "their child was still alive." “

"How can that be when both of his parents were murdered?"" Perplexed, Lucas inquired further.

"I'm not sure, but it appears that they were successful in saving the child." “

"What was its age?"" Luther inquired, his mind sculpting a devious plan.

"The assassination occurred eighteen years ago, so it was most likely eighteen." “

Luther remained motionless for a time before turning to face his two companions. "Look for the missing child." If I don't kill his parents, he'll have the honor."

" That's a good idea; leave it to me, boss!"" Kheed exclaimed pleasantly as he took out his phone when he noticed a news alert.

"Dude..." Kheed getting their attention, pointing to his cellphone. Lucas took the phone and turned to face Luther. "What?"

"You're in the news."

"What?" Lucas handed him the phone and saw that he was in a newspaper column with a picture of him facing the girl he had run over.

"Look at the title, the cold young CEO has melted and has a girlfriend?" Kheed laughed, " What the fvck!" The two responded by shaking their heads.

"What do you expect from the media? They will go to any length to make people enjoy their gossip," Lucas explained. "On the other hand, it's in your favor for pretending." Luther nodded, hoping that this would help him.

"Speaking of her, someone is looking for her; it was her brother," Lucas explained, "her sister has been missing for quite some time and they are only now looking for her."

"At the very least, he tried, how about her mother" Kheed replied, shaking his head. "She doesn't appear to be concerned about her daughter."

"Her mother was sick."

"Oh"

"What bothered me was, if she was sick and worried about her daughter, why didn't she ask her son to find her the first day she went missing? Why wait two long months?" Lucas wondered.

"I, too, am curious."

"Something appears to be wrong with that family," Lucas observed.

"Well, maybe they don't really care about Samantha," Kheed replied. "Anyway, shall we pay her another visit?"

"We have to start with his plan," Lucas replied, pointing to Luther. "But I won't be joining you; I'll go to her mother; I need her cooperation on this." Kheed nodded. "And I'd like you to show him how to be a boyfriend."

"My pleasure," Kheed replied, smiling. "I don't need him for that; I can do it my way," Luther replied with a shake of his head.

"How? Attacking her to the point where your eyes almost burn with rage? Do you think the girl will believe you?" Lucas inquired with a bit of scolding.

"I'm not gonna do that."

"Then tell me how you're going to do it," he said, Luther looked at the two young men. "It's a secret."

"It's a secret. You just don't have a plan," Kheed teased. "Just call my name, boss, I'm here." "I don't need your assistance."

"OK, but I know you're going to need me later," Kheed said, ignoring the young man's remarks. Looking at it, Lucas shook his head.

-------

"Hello, anyone home?" Lucas called from outside the gate of a small house. He went to the residence of the girl, wanting to confirm something.

It's a bungalow with cement walls and an iron roof, but from the outside, it's clear that the family is struggling. The house is almost completely destroyed and has numerous holes.

He yelled once more, and after a while, the door opened, revealing an elderly woman in her 30s. It has black hair and black colored eyes, and a slender body that is almost emaciated, most likely due to her illness.

"Good day," Lucas said, smiling.

"Good day to you as well, who are they?" the lady politely replied.

"I found out your son was looking for Samantha, which is why I came here," he explained.

The lady's face abruptly changed from one of concern to an expression of fear. "W-who are y-you?"

Lucas was surprised by this stammered question. He can't say they met the girl who now has no memory of them and will be their friend's girlfriend. He had to give a compelling reason. "I'm acquainted with Samantha's boyfriend."

The lady's blood seemed to run away after Lucas replied. It turned pale and was unable to speak. She appears to be unsure whether to enter their home or speak with the young man. She trembled as she approached the gate, bent as if afraid to see the young man's face. "F-forgive my son. H-he's only concerned about his s-sister... Don't w-worry, we won't f-find her again."
