Chapter 30

"Can someone explain how these stock books aren't adding up? Why do we have a shortage?" Marina backed, anger visible on her face as she scrutinized the stock books everything seemed pretty clean but nothing was adding up.

"Ma'am, the—" Susan tried saying but was hushed by a menacing glare from Marina as her anger was revolting and none of them had seen their Madam in such a fit of rage.

"I don't even want to hear a single word from any of you," Marina warned, half growling as she looked at them in the eye like she was seeing through them.

"Don't I pay you enough?" She asked, hitting the tip of her fingers on the table.

"You do ma'am." They replied in unison as they wondered where her questions were headed. All they were well aware of was the fact that it wasn't a good path that she was treading at this point. It was a part that was capable of making them lose their jobs.

"Do I ever delay your salaries?" She asked again in a more adamant and stern voice.

"You don't ma'am." They replie
