Chapter 4

Marina did not know if she should cry loudly or silently at Aiden's words, he was a stranger she had begged for a favor and he was willing to take care of her.

"Take care of her? Who wants what family you belong to, you must be from some lowly family. Marina, you are happy about your choice? You will regret not begging me to marry you." Jayden from where he was standing, his gaze shifted from Aiden to Marina.

Marina chuckled without looking at Jayden, wiping the tears from her face, she turned around with a smirk. "I will what? Regret not getting married to you? I will say the same to you, you will regret not getting married to me on this day." Marina muttered.

After another roll of batter exchange, Mrs. Jones was fed up. She was worried about Marina, Marina needed to rest her head from the chaos and stress that she had just gone through. Mrs. Jones threw Aiden a glance, telling him to take her away.

Almost immediately a bodyguard stepped forward with his head bowed, "Master, the bridal car is ready. We have taken the bride's things into the car too, we should leave now. We have to seek the blessings of your grandfather."

Aiden hummed at the guard's words, "Father-in-law, Mother-in-law, I will take my leave now with your daughter, we will pay a visit to you in a bit." Aiden muttered.

Marina stood beside Aiden and offered her parents a bow too, she felt emotional again but she managed to hold herself back from crying out loud.

After offering a bow, Aiden turned to Marina and offered her a bow too. Stepping closer, he whispered 'Get ready, place your hands around my neck.'

Marina did not understand what he meant till his hand wrapped around her waist and then he swapped her up in princess style. Marina gasped in surprise, quickly putting her hands around him.

Just like that, Aiden and Marina walked out of the hall, outside the hall Aiden placed Marina in the car first and then he got in and sat beside her. The car zoomed off immediately after he was seated.

Mrs. Jones sighed, she gave Jayden and his family a look of disgust before leaving from there. Mr. Jones watched his wife, he turned towards the members of the Hawthorne family with a glare in his eyes.

"Thank you so much Mr. And Mrs. Hawthorne for the disgrace and embarrassment today, I want to say that whatever goes around comes around and also, what you sow now, you shall reap."

"Goodbye." Mr. Jones muttered and equally left from there.

After the Jones left, Jayden stood with his head bent in fear. He could feel the glare he was busy getting from his father, he stepped forward ready to leave from there but his father stopped him.

"Where do you think you are going? You bastard! You had to go and ruin the plans I have placed in motion for years! Are you even my son anymore? You act like a child, you could have divorced her after getting married, it's no big deal!" Mr. Hawthorne cursed giving Jayden a sinister look.

"Honey please calm down, we are still in the venue. Someone might hear what you are saying, why don't we go home first, and then you can scold him freely there? Alright?" Mrs. Hawthorne pleaded looking around.

"You are right. You had better make sure, Jayden returns home immediately, or else I will take down everything under his name." Mr. Hawthorne muttered and strode out of there.

After his father was far enough from hearing the shot, Jayden turned towards his mother. "Mom, what should I do? Father is going to kill me, I did not know he had something he wanted."

"I can't go back home mum, I can not," Jayden muttered holding onto his suit in a tight, nervous grip.

"I will protect you, you just have to keep silent and nod your head to everything your father is saying. Nothing more, nothing less, his anger will calm down sooner or later." Mrs. Hawthorne remarked patting her son's back.

Jayden nodded and followed after his mother, she was the only one who truly understood him.

In a mansion on the right city of the bustling city of LA, a girl was busy lying on her bed with her head buried into her pillow. Little sniffs could be heard from her, if anyone took a closer look they would notice that the pillow was wet and that the girl had been crying for hours.

"My lady please unlock the door, you haven't eaten since yesterday, my lady. My lady, please eat something or even take a juice. Please, my lady, I am worried about your health." The servant said with worry laced in her tone as she knocked again and again.

She had been pleading and begging the young lady since the previous night to at least open the door and let someone in. "My lady, my lady, please. The old master and madam will be upset if they hear this, my lady please..."

"Your voice sounds annoying, I can not focus on my thoughts. Get out from my door, I do not want anyone standing there." The young lady shouted from within the room at the servant who was standing outside.

The poor servant sighed helplessly, looking behind her she looked at all the other servants who had tried to knock on the door to no avail.

"My lady, please just eat this tray of food, please. My lady, please come out. Please....." The servant continued pleading.

"I said! I do not want anyone here! If you all do not leave then I will jump off the windows and you will all be responsible for my death!." The young girl threatened gritting her teeth in anger.

The servants did not know what to do, the situation was looking homeless and without a proper solution. While the servants were thinking of a solution, a young lady walked in with a bright smile.

"Passing through, let me in. Amira, it's me, Summer. Guess what happened? The biggest wedding in town became the biggest embarrassment in town." Summer said with a chuckle
