Chapter 29: Please Forgive Me!

Suddenly, before Jack can explain everything about Adelyn to Briana, the older couple came to the living room.

"What's going on, children?" George asked.

"We hear Briana yelling, what's the matter?" asked Rosita.

Jack and Briana looked at each other.

"Nothing... we're just arguing about what game is better, basketball or baseball. I told sister that Basketball is so much better," Jack quickly lied.

"Baseball is the best!" Briana collaborated with Jack's made up story.

George erupted in laughter about the silliness of it all. "Guys, you are like children, grow up!" he said and settled on the couch, grabbing the remote control and turning on the TV, hoping to find something worthwhile to watch.

On the other hand, Rosita didn't say anything, her eyes glimmered while she observed the two quarreling adults, finding the game quarrel a little bit silly and fake.
