Chapter 24

We were eating silently. Hugo would look at me from time to time, checking if I'm eating well. I assure him that everything's fine but honestly, it isn't.

I couldn't think of anything because I'm too occupied with my feelings. What happened last night proved that I love Hunter. It was different with Hugo, I was drunk but I also wanted to try if my feelings were real.

He's my husband, yes, but it felt so wrong doing it with him. It doesn't feel right unlike when I'm with Hunter.

Another sigh escaped my lips as I played with my food. My mind is too occupied to notice Hugo staring at me intently.

"That was your seventh sign." He pointed, finishing a glass of water before looking back at me. "Are you regretting what happened last night?" There was no emotion on his face but I can still feel his gentle and soft side.

"Yes, I am." I don't want to hurt his feelings but I don't want to lie either. It's better that he knows.
