Chapter 25

"Charylle is eight weeks pregnant, Honey." Aunt Asther, mom's step sister, announced after the check-up.

I was there sitting like a child waiting to be told what to do. Am I hearing this right!?

"We need to do an ultrasound to check," she added.

Mom helped me lay on my back. I was wearing a hospital gown and since it was too early she said she'll be using a transvaginal ultrasound to check my baby.

I was too nervous, my palm was sweating and I was secretly gasping for air. Mom held my hand tightly and kissed my forehead, telling me that it's alright and that I should relax.

Aunt Asther, slowly and gently entered the transducer inside. I jolted when I felt a cold tip. It didn't hurt nor gave me any pain. I just diverted my attention to the screen full of black and white uncleared images.
