After Miranda told us about what that man was, there was silence in the room, each one thinking about what she just told us. As much as I fear Luka, I fear the fact about werebears being a reality. I always knew there were a lot of supernatural beings out there, but it never crossed my mind that there could be werebears as well. No wonder that man is so huge, Luka is big yes but not as big as that man.The man has broad shoulders and huge muscles. When I first saw him, I thought he was a bodybuilder, someone who was once fat but got fit with gym and exercise but boy was I wrong. “A werebear, then what was he doing here?” asked Luka to no one in particular. “Well, I guess you are not the only big one now, we have werebears and apparently they are way bigger than you.” We all looked at him.“What? It’s the truth the man is huge.” Luka shook his head. “We have to sort this out, wLuka“That won’t work on those beasts! They are huge and as much as they don’t have speed, they make up for it in strength. Make sure that they don’t lay their paws on you or you are dead.” We are busy with training, we started after those beasts left, I put them in groups of three, and each group will fight one werebear at a time. We are trying to prepare for the war that we all know is coming.I curse Dimitri Deluca for ruining this pack and giving our pack to those things to be slaves. I wonder what else that deal comprised. “JP no!” he smirks while my mate falls on the ground with a thud, and I growled at my beta. She is quick to stand up and swipes his feet sending him to the ground. It was my turn to smirk looking at him. If it were up to me, she would not be involved in this war, it has nothing to do with her, but she is very stubborn, and when I suggested, she told me she was a warrior and would not sta
ZoeLuka has been acting strange since my friends and old alpha arrived two days ago. I was not sure what the problem was until JP asked why I don’t have my mark yet and I realized. When my friends arrived, I focused on spending as much time with them as possible and neglected Luka. I even forgot what we agreed on doing, he did not ask me anything, in fact, he hardly spoke to me these past two days but has been working us all hard on the training grounds. They filled our pack lands with different packs, we asked for help from two packs, but word spread about the werebears that more packs came. Now we have five packs here with their alphas, betas, and warriors. I am still amazed by how much they are behaving, werewolves can’t be in the same place like this for a long time with no fighting and I think that has to do with Luka’s reputation.“You can’t be quiet like that Zoe; this is your mate and mayb
Luka‘How are you feeling, mate?’ I ask her through the mind link, she looks shocked at first but then smiles brightly. Maybe we can make this work after all and this is the start. ‘I feel, I don’t know how to describe it.’ she blushes avoiding my gaze. ‘Different, light, happy. That is how I feel. Thank you for this and for working on us.’ She nods but still doesn’t look at me. ‘I have to leave now.’ She doesn’t wait for me to answer as she runs to the door leaving me chuckling. If we didn’t stop when we did, we might have completed the mating process and our first kiss was amazing. I never thought I would feel like that from just a kiss. I look at the sandwich she made for me and walk towards the tray. I took the food and ate. It tastes amazing, maybe because she made it especially for me and it feels so good to know that she cares. I have been so occupied with training and tryin
LukaAm standing here with my mate and my beta flanking my sides. Thinking how wrong I was for making them fight these beasts in groups of three, it should have been groups of five and I underestimated their strength. My mate is anxious as she sees how our wolves are just thrown around by the bears, shaken off like they are annoying flies, and the smirk their leader is wearing is not helping at all. But it won’t be long till I wipe it off his face.“Take them in groups of five!” I yell at our king and the bear leader burst out laughing. “And you think that will help?” he raises an eyebrow looking at me mockingly. ‘Let me take him.’ My beautiful mate says in the mind link. ‘In due time little mate, just wait.’ I tell her but I can see how anxious she is, JP as well clenching and unclenching his fists. The bears have a lot of strength, but they are slow as we expected and when they get to one of us, t
Zoe I always compared Luka to a bear in his wolf form and looking at him now. He is not far off, the bear-leader is huge, but Luka is almost the same size. Their strength is not the same as expected, the bear-leader has more strength than Luka, but Luka has speech which the bear-leader is lacking. I thought Luka was a monster, but he is nothing compared to these beasts, they kill savagely and without mercy. They are the opposite of normal bears because they are not malicious, gentle, and tolerant. But these werebears are something that shouldn’t exist, well, all of us shouldn’t exist but I would like to think that we differ from this species. We can be vicious and deadly as well but only when the situation calls for it. I guess they too feel like they are that way only when the situations call for it. I also might be biased because I am a werewolf. Luka is still handling the bear-leader well but the moment he doesn’t I will be there, no one h
LukaI would like to say that we did it and won the war but something in me feels like this is only the beginning. We have killed their leader, and that is not something the supernatural takes lightly. They are bound to want to avenge their leader at some point and I am afraid that when the time comes. We won’t be ready, and they will wipe us out as their leader wanted. If they are anything like us wolves, right now they are going to moan their leader, regroup and come up with a game plan.If I knew where they came from, maybe I would have sent them their dead, their leader included. But I don’t, so, I have no choice but to burn everyone here. “Alpha Luka, I would like to invite you to my pack sometime, your Luna saved me, and I want to thank her properly.” The elder alpha Phillips says, I too thought he was going to die here today but the old man proved me wrong. “I will ask her alpha; I am sure that she
Zoe After everything was done, we all went back to the packhouse, a delectable scent of food welcomed us and my stomach grumbled. Luka chuckles beside me. Well, I mentioned I was hungry. “Shower I will ask them to bring out food up to our room.” I smiled at him then nodded in agreement before going upstairs. It’s been a long day and all I need now, is a shower, a good meal, and a bed.I strip and jump into the shower the moment I get into our room. I closed my eyes feeling the warm water soothing the knots that I have on my body; it feels so good; I needed this. I tilt my head to the side and let the water hit my shoulder soothing the knots that are there. A massage would have worked better but I guess this will do for now. I was lost in my world that I did not hear the door opening, making me jump as I feel arms circling my waist.I take a breath, and the scent tells me it’s my mate. But why is he in here with me? We ne
Mason While the others were busy celebrating their victory, eating, and drinking. I slipped out unnoticed and followed the trail of the bears, if anyone can help me get what is mine, it’s them. The devil alpha thinks he is all that, but I will prove to everyone that he is still that scared little boy who was left in the forest all those years ago. That this monster they fear is nothing but a facade, Zoe doesn’t want him, but he had to force her to be with him just because she feared what he will do to us.I will save my mate and I will kill Luka and rid of our kind of the likes of him. I kept looking back as I sneaked out of the border unnoticed by border patrol, these suckers are still new to this so there are still loopholes to be exploited when it comes to their patrol system. As soon as I got to the field, I could pick the scent of the bear up; it was faint, but I could still follow it. The more I walked towards the mountains the stron
