The cold night wind blew across the abandoned warehouse.

Emily stepped out of the car slowly.

Her heart was pounding loudly.

Inside that dark building… her father was waiting.

Or maybe something worse.

Alexander stood beside her, calm as always.

But his sharp eyes were scanning the entire area carefully.

Something felt wrong.

Too quiet.

Daniel walked toward Alexander.

"Sir, our men have surrounded the building."

Alexander nodded.

"No one escapes."

Emily looked at him nervously.

"What if they hurt my father?"

Alexander looked at her.

"They won't."

But before he could say anything else…

A loud voice suddenly echoed from inside the warehouse.

"Emily Carter!"

Emily froze.

It was Sophia's voice.

Her heart dropped instantly.

"Come inside!"

Sophia shouted again.

"But come alone."

Emily started walking toward the warehouse.

Alexander quickly grabbed her wrist.

"Wait."

Emily looked at him.

"If I don't go… they might kill my father."

Alexander’s expression became serious.

"It's a trap."

Emily whispered desperately,

"I know."

"But he's my father."

Alexander stared at her for a moment.

Then he slowly released her hand.

"But you're not going alone."

Emily blinked.

"What?"

Alexander suddenly pressed a small button on his watch.

"Go."

Emily slowly walked toward the warehouse entrance.

The giant metal door creaked open.

Inside was dark.

Only one light hung from the ceiling.

Under that light…

Her father was tied to a chair.

"Dad!"

Emily ran toward him.

But suddenly—

CLICK

The sound of a gun being cocked echoed behind her.

Emily froze.

Sophia Blake stepped out of the shadows.

She was holding a pistol.

A cruel smile spread across her face.

"I was waiting for you."

Emily's heart started racing.

"Sophia… please let my father go."

Sophia laughed softly.

"Why would I do that?"

"You stole my future."

"You stole my husband."

Emily shook her head.

"I didn't steal anything."

Sophia’s eyes filled with rage.

"You married him!"

She raised the gun slightly.

"And now you're going to disappear."

Emily felt cold fear spread through her body.

"Are you going to kill me?"

Sophia smiled.

"Oh no."

"That would be too easy."

She slowly walked closer.

"I want Alexander to watch everything fall apart."

Emily’s voice trembled.

"What do you want?"

Sophia leaned close to her ear and whispered,

"I want you to leave him."

Emily stayed silent.

Sophia continued,

"Divorce him."

"Disappear."

"And maybe…"

She glanced at Emily’s father.

"I'll let him live."

Emily clenched her fists.

Before she could answer—

The warehouse door suddenly exploded open.

BANG!

Dozens of armed security guards rushed inside.

Sophia’s eyes widened.

"What?!"

Alexander Knight walked inside calmly.

His dark eyes were colder than ice.

"You talk too much."

Sophia stepped back in shock.

"H-how did you—"

Alexander interrupted her.

"You forgot one thing."

His voice was calm but terrifying.

"You called my wife."

Sophia’s hand started shaking.

"You shouldn't be here!"

Alexander walked closer.

"And you shouldn't have touched her family."

The guards quickly surrounded the kidnappers.

Within seconds all the men were on the ground.

Sophia realized she had lost.

But suddenly…

Her lips slowly curled into a strange smile.

"Too late."

Alexander frowned.

"What do you mean?"

Sophia pointed toward Emily.

"Look."

Alexander turned his head.

Emily suddenly felt dizzy.

Her vision became blurry.

"W-what's happening…?"

She collapsed to the ground.

Alexander rushed forward.

"Emily!"

Her breathing was weak.

Alexander looked up at Sophia with deadly anger.

"What did you do?"

Sophia laughed.

"The air in this warehouse…"

Her smile became terrifying.

"...is full of sleeping gas."

Alexander’s heart dropped.

Sophia walked toward the exit.

"Enjoy the night, Mr. Knight."

She smirked.

"Your wife won't wake up for a very long time."

Then she disappeared into the darkness.

Alexander lifted Emily into his arms quickly.

"Call the doctor!"

His voice echoed with urgency.

But deep inside…

Alexander felt something strange.

For the first time in years…

He was afraid.

Afraid of losing her.

The black luxury car rushed through the empty streets at high speed.

Inside the car…

Emily lay unconscious in Alexander’s arms.

Her breathing was weak.

Her face looked pale.

Alexander held her tightly.

"Faster!" he shouted at the driver.

The driver pressed the accelerator harder.

The car sped toward the nearest private hospital.

For the first time in many years…

Alexander Knight felt something he rarely experienced.

Fear.

Real fear.

He looked down at Emily’s unconscious face.

"Emily… stay awake."

But she didn’t move.

Her head rested against his chest.

Her body felt cold.

Daniel sat in the front seat, already on the phone.

"Prepare the emergency room!"

He shouted.

"Mr. Knight is arriving in two minutes!"

Five Minutes Later

The car stopped in front of the hospital.

Doctors and nurses were already waiting outside.

The moment the door opened—

Alexander stepped out carrying Emily in his arms.

"Move!"

His voice was sharp and commanding.

The doctors quickly placed Emily on a stretcher.

They rushed her inside the emergency room.

The doors closed.

Alexander stood outside.

His hands were still slightly shaking.

Daniel looked surprised.

He had worked with Alexander for five years.

But he had never seen him like this.

Minutes passed slowly.

Then an hour.

Alexander hadn’t moved from the same spot.

Finally…

The emergency room door opened.

A middle-aged doctor walked out.

Alexander stepped forward immediately.

"How is she?"

The doctor looked serious.

"She is stable now."

Alexander released a breath he didn’t realize he was holding.

"But…"

The doctor continued.

"She inhaled a strong sleeping gas."

"She may stay unconscious for several hours."

Alexander nodded slowly.

"Anything else?"

The doctor hesitated.

"Actually… yes."

Alexander frowned.

"What is it?"

The doctor looked at the medical report in his hands.

"When we checked her condition… we found something unexpected."

Alexander’s eyes narrowed slightly.

"What?"

The doctor spoke carefully.

"It appears that Miss Carter…"

He corrected himself.

"Mrs. Knight…"

Alexander’s heart beat slightly faster.

The doctor finished his sentence.

"She might be pregnant."

The words felt like thunder.

Alexander froze.

"Pregnant?"

The doctor nodded.

"We are not completely sure yet."

"But the test results suggest early pregnancy."

Alexander stood there silently.

His mind suddenly filled with questions.

How?

When?

But then he remembered something.

The night of the wedding contract signing…

They had celebrated.

Things had happened.

Unexpected things.

Alexander slowly looked through the hospital room window.

Emily lay peacefully on the bed.

He whispered softly to himself,

"A child…?"

Meanwhile…

Across the city…

Sophia Blake sat inside her luxury apartment.

She watched the news on television.

The headline flashed on the screen.

"Alexander Knight's wife hospitalized after mysterious incident."

Sophia smirked.

"So the gas worked."

She picked up her phone and called someone.

The man on the other side answered.

"Is everything done?"

Sophia smiled.

"Phase one is complete."

The man asked,

"What about the girl?"

Sophia’s eyes turned cold.

"Don't worry."

Her voice became dark.

"Very soon…"

"Emily Carter will disappear from Alexander's life forever."

Back at the hospital

Alexander finally walked into Emily’s room.

He stood beside her bed quietly.

She looked peaceful while sleeping.

Alexander stared at her for a long moment.

Then he spoke softly.

"You are a lot of trouble."

But his voice wasn’t cold this time.

It was strangely gentle.

He looked down at her stomach for a moment.

Then he whispered something unexpected.

"If the doctor is right…"

His voice became quieter.

"Then you are carrying my child."

But at that exact moment…

Emily’s fingers suddenly moved.

Her eyes slowly started opening.

And the first thing she saw…

Was Alexander standing beside her bed.

Looking at her with an expression she had never seen before.
