CHAPTER 97

The doctor, Addison Greene, was already seated in their plush living room when he walked in. Rose and Bianca were standing around her watching as she laid Jeffery across her lap with a thermometer beneath his armpit.

"Oh, Caleb! Good thing you're back!" Bianca went to meet him.

"How bad is the situation?" Caleb asked flatly, ignoring her hands that were outstretched to take his suit off. That was not her role to play.

"Doctor Greene says it's nothing too serious, just a mild fever. Jeff baby will be fine in a day or two."

Caleb started towards the doctor who smiled respectfully at him.

"A mild fever, huh?" He asked, looking down at Jeffery who happened to be asleep.

"Yes, Mr Lockwood. But I did take samples of the milk that Miss Bianca here talked about."

"And?"

The doctor inhaled before continuing. "The results were a little disturbing."

"Disturbing? What's wrong with it?" Caleb asked, looking at all of them and frowning when they were silent for a while.
