Jason’s POV

Power had always been a game to me — and I was very good at it.

I leaned back in my chair, my fingers drumming lightly on the glass surface of my desk as I reread the text message I’d sent earlier that morning.

“Congratulations on the baby. Don’t think you can hide it forever.”

The words were simple, but the effect?

Explosive. I could almost feel Brielle’s panic from miles away. She’d be shaking right now, staring at her phone like it had betrayed her. The image alone made my lips curl into a satisfied smile.

Everything about this move had been deliberate. Timing, tone, delivery — all carefully chosen to hit her where it hurt most. The goal was simple: wedge her fear between herself and Axel, make him question her, make her question herself.

Chaos was the best weapon, and I’d just handed her a loaded gun pointed at her own chest.

Brielle liked to think she could outmaneuver me, that her silence and distance were shields strong enough to keep her safe. But I knew her better

  • After He Took It All   The True Architect

Brielle's POVThe destruction was complete. It was filed, sealed, and already hitting the German papers. The Leda Foundation, that tiny, sentimental piece of my mother's memory, was publicly designated as fiscally insolvent due to the need to settle Julliard debts. The money was negligible, but the message was a cannonball. We had targeted the last piece of good left in my father's world, and we had burned it to the ground. God help me.I was sitting in Richter's office, watching the final digital signature appear on the dissolution forms. My fingers felt cold and strangely light. It was as if they had just committed a major physical exertion.Richter glanced at the screen, then at me. His own career was saved by the chaos of the Steinmetz counter-smear—my ugly, brutal strategy. He was still fighting the ethics review, but the urgency was gone. I had bought him the time and the leverage he needed.“You have the heart for this, Ms. Julliard,” he murmured, the dark compliment landing he

  • After He Took It All   The Digital Assassin

Sheila's POVThe air in my lab—which is really just a private, soundproofed room behind a false wall—smelled like ozone and expensive coffee. I was surrounded by screens, the only light source in the room, and I was exactly where I belonged: deep inside the digital guts of the man who thought he was smarter than everyone else. Axel Ferdinez, the stupid git.Jason’s pathetic little chip was plugged into my custom rig. It was military-grade hardware, all right, encrypted with a bespoke Julliard algorithm, the kind of heavy security the idiot Henri Julliard would have paid millions for. But Julliard was old world, and he relied on passwords. I prefer backdoors.I was flying through the core encryption, my fingers moving over the keyboard like I was playing a complex sonata. The excitement was a hot, electric wire running through my veins. This wasn’t just about the money Jason promised; this was about the satisfaction.I found it first: the unpatched backdoor. It wasn't in the Julliard n

  • After He Took It All   The Engineered Crisis

Axel's POVThe morning news had been a complete, screaming disaster. The worst kind of shit-show.Brielle’s latest attack—the destruction of my father-in-law's sentimental foundations, including the Leda music charity—was a masterstroke of cruelty and corporate strategy. It wasn't about money; it was about public image. The world was now seeing the Julliard empire as poisoned, unstable, and ruled by a vengeful daughter. The subsequent chaos in the quiet funds tied to the Geist Verwaltungs cabal was a visible tremor.I didn't give a damn about the press, but I cared deeply about the damage to the structure, because that structure protected Brielle. And I knew exactly whose fault it was. My mother. Ines Ferdinez. The calculating old cow.I found her in her private office, located in the quietest, oldest wing of the family building. She was sitting at her pristine antique desk, not a single piece of paper out of place, sipping tea from a thin porcelain cup.She looked like a museum exhib

  • After He Took It All   The Julliard Vault

Jason's POVThe room was cold, which was fitting, because I was sweating buckets. It wasn't even a decent room.It was some cheap, temporary rental I'd grabbed after the bank froze everything, the kind of place where the air conditioning cycles with a terrible wheezing noise. I was sitting on the floor, surrounded by takeout containers and the goddamn wreckage of my life.I looked at the smashed keyboard on the floor. I’d destroyed it when the news reports started running the story about the Leda Foundation. That ridiculous, sentimental little charity for kids playing the flute.Brielle didn't just freeze accounts; she vaporized the good name of the Julliard family, the last piece of equity we had left. It was a cold, brutal move, and it was absolutely working, the little sneak.“Linda,” I snarled, the name tasting like rust in my mouth. I slammed my fist against the wall. That useless, greedy woman. She was supposed to be my partner. We were supposed to glide out of this thing with e

  • After He Took It All   Burning The Legacy

Brielle's POVRichter stared at the desk where the two hairpins lay: the innocent-looking replacement and the tiny, exposed GPS beacon from the original. The military-grade components were barely visible. The implication was a flash flood of information, washing away the last remnants of my naive trust. He didn't look at the pin for long. He looked at me. His gaze was sharper, colder, and more dangerously intelligent than ever before. The air in the room was thick with accusation, heavier than the moment he discovered I was late for our first meeting.“Tell me, Who the hell,” he asked, his voice a lethal, controlled whisper that was far more terrifying than a shout, “are you talking to, Ms. Julliard?”My heart hammered, a frantic prisoner against my ribs, but I forced my face into the same blank, marble mask I’d used to convince him to attack the Steinmetz case. I had to sell this lie perfectly, or I was screwed.“An old security team,” I said, keeping my hands steady in my lap. I did

  • After He Took It All   The Unexpected Exchange

Brielle's POVDamn…The aftermath of the Klaus attack and the Steinmetz counter-smear was just so brutal.Richter was working around the clock, fueled by pure rage and the need to protect the dozens of innocent lives I had put at risk with my strategy. The bastard. As for me… well, I was doing the same damn thing, sitting in the secure apartment, reviewing the list of names from the Geist Verwaltungs cabal. This wasn't just a list of power brokers anymore. This was a list of future casualties.Richter and I had decided on the next target: a high-ranking politician with deep ties to the French energy conglomerate, one of the primary Overseers on the Geist ledger. The strategy was to use the initial confusion we’d created to hit a target so high-value that Ines Ferdinez would be forced to reveal her goddamn self to protect the structure.I looked at the names, feeling that sharp, exhilarating tremor run through me again. It was the thrill of absolute power—the knowledge that with a few
