Ugh! I cannot believe, you are Minerva. You know what yesterday when I heard your voice for the first time, instantly I recognized you. I was just waiting for perfect time. So, do you like my college? Why don't we go to grab a coffee together? I want to tell you so many things, Daisy" Nick blurted out, excitedly as if he was just waiting for that 'sorry' from Daisy.
Placing his strong arms on Daisy's shoulder casually, Nick started chatting like he met with his old friend. Daisy was little shy, but before she could reply anything, Jason interrupted them, "Nick, we have to go to ground practice now. Have you forgotten?"
" Oh yes. I have totally forgotten about that. Daisy, why don't you join us tonight? We have a party tonight in Jason's house," exclaimed Nicolas in anticipation.
"But, I don't think it is a good idea. Firstly, I don't know where Jason lives and secondly, I don't know anyone here," mumbled Daisy, nervously.
Alex replied, "I can pick you up. Don't worry about that. After all, you are our lady luck."
Nicolas agreed, "Right, I insist. You have to come tonight."
Jason replied excitedly, "Why don't you bring your friends with you? Then you will feel comfortable. But no matter what you are coming tonight."
Daisy nodded, "Alright I will try, but you don't have to pick me up, Jason." Nicolas squeezed Daisy's shoulder gently in a friendly manner and replied with a smile, "That's my girl. Then see you tonight."
After wishing good bye, Nicolas, Jason and Alex left together. The crowd of the auditorium also started to fade away. Suddenly tugging Daisy's sleeve from behind, Helen exclaimed excitedly, "I cannot believe Daisy. You are Minerva. You are Nick's teammate."
Daisy with a smile, replied, "Yes, I know them virtually still now."
Then after a little pause, Daisy continued, "Helen, I have got an invitation to join a party at Jason's place. Why don't you join me."
Helen excitedly replied almost jumping in joy, "Daisy, really? You are inviting me in Senior's party? Oh my God! I cannot believe. Of course, I will join you. At last I think my luck has started favouring me."
Daisy replied curiously, "What is so special about the party?"
Helen winking at Daisy, replied, "Be patient girl. You will get to know soon. Why don't we go for shopping now? I think you will need my help in selecting dress."
Daisy nodded her head and replied, "Alright, Let's go."
Daisy left with Helen while chatting merely. Lucas' team members were discussing about their mistakes while Lucas' eyes were fixed on the silhouette of Daisy which was going far from his eyes. Instinctively, a smirk appeared on his fuller lips.
He murmured, "Oh Daisy! You are so unique. You are driving me crazy." Then he lit up a cigarette and holding between his fingers, he took a long deep puff. The nicotine rushed into his lungs giving him a new bout of energy. For Lucas, Daisy was a raw of hope, he wanted to love her and live for her. He was becoming obsessed for her with every passing seconds.
Helen and Daisy reached to the nearby Shopping Mall. It was already 3pm, so the mall was not so crowded. Helen was well acquainted with every corner of the mall. She led Daisy to the finest garments shop. After spending a long one hour at last they both choose their outfits for the evening party and then having a meal together, they both headed to their house.
Helen yelled peeping through the window of the cab, "Daisy, I will wait here, infront of your house exactly at 7:30pm. Don't be late."
Daisy was standing infront of her house, waving her hand, she replied, "Alright. See you soon. Bye." Then, Daisy walked inside her head.
After taking a shower, she fell on the bed for a short nap. When, she woke up, it was almost 6pm. So, without wasting time, she started to be ready. It was the month of July so temperature was really high in Los Angeles. Daisy bought a black two piece split sexy and elegant evening party dress. It was suitable and comfortable for summer. She put on a pair of matching ear rings and a black stone bracelet. After putting on some nude make up and wearing her favourite red lipstick, Daisy called Helen.
Helen picked up the phone and excitedly replied, "Wait dear. I am already in cab. I will arrive within ten minutes."
"Ok, I am waiting," after replying Helen, Daisy lazily sat on her bed and started scrolling her phone.
It was almost 7:15pm. Daisy wished her mom good bye and informed her about the party. But Rhea was really a unique mom, she replied, "I am very happy that you have already made friends. Have fun my baby. Don't come home before midnight."
Daisy with a smile replied, "Thanks Mom. You are the best. Love you."
Rhea yelled from behind, "Love you too dear." Rhea and Henry both were very friendly. They used to trust their daughter and had never stopped her from anything. Daisy was also a good girl, she had never misused her freedom.
Helen was already waiting outside leaning against the back door of the cab. She was in a green sequinned party dress. Her long legs were exposed.
Seeing Daisy, Helen replied, "Oh my God, Daisy. You are looking so hot. I am sure you are going to kill every single boy with your hotness."
Daisy rolling her eyes, replied, " Shut up, Helen. You are the one who is going to grab the attention tonight dear."
They both excitedly climbed on the cab and the cab started heading towards Jason's house. Daisy was little nervous and shy as it was her first time attending a party with boys. She was an introvert girl and in Phoenix, she used to study in a girls' school so she was not that much comfortable around boys. That's why she used to feel shy, turning on her microphone while playing. But, Helen was exactly opposite of her. She was talkative and energetic. Though Daisy started liking her new life already. Her heart was boiling in an unknown anticipation and excitement though she didn't know the reason why she was excited.
Soon, they arrived at the party. From outside, they could hear the loud noise of music and shouting of young voices. Some students were standing outside the house, chatting lazily. Taking nervous steps, Daisy pushed the front door of the house, Helen was following her silently and instantly, the cacophony of numerous teenagers hit her earbuds. She nervously entered inside the house, the house was decorated with colourful dim lights and rich smell of alcohol and delicious foods, filled the whole surroundings. Some of girls and boys were dancing on the artificially made dancer floor. Both Helen and Daisy headed to the bar counter exactly beside the dj. Daisy didn't drink so she just ordered a mocktail. Standing next to the counter, she was casually scanning her surroundings, facing Helen. Suddenly, Daisy felt a hot breath exactly on the back and then a strong arm placed gently on her shoulder. Daisy turned around, startled but she saw the familiar tall silhouette, standing infront of her.
"Lucas! What the hell. You have scared me," Daisy mumbled in a taut tone.Lucas chuckled softly, still wrapping his arm around Daisy's shoulder, he replied, "Sorry, I was just trying to scare you a little. I didn't know the great sniper girl will behave like a little kitten."Rolling her eyes, Daisy replied teasingly, "Huh! Are you trying to get your revenge by giving me a heart attack?? Come on Lucas, it was just a game. Don't hold any grudge against me."Daisy looked at Lucas with her innocent puppy eyes and pouting her lips, she gave a cute girl expression. Daisy's innocence and childish attitude didn't irritate icy cold Lucas. Instead his heart started pounding wildly, seeing her alluring pouty lips and he felt a tinge of warmth in his heart. He smiled and replied with a mischievous tone, "How can I hold a grudge on such a pretty lady? I can die for you in every match, Daisy."Daisy, biting her lower lip, replied, "Shut
Daisy started feeling the hot breath of Nicolas against her soft delicate cheeks. Daisy was trying to look away but it seemed like impossible to her. Nicolas' lips were only an inch away from Daisy's when suddenly the song ended and all started whistling and shouting for Nicolas. Daisy immediately stepped back, pushing Nicolas little away. She started extremely awkward when she realized that everybody was actually watching their dance. She was a shy girl, that sudden unexpected attention scared her badly.Nicolas murmured, near Daisy's ear, while dragging her to the bar counter, "It's alright, little girl. Why are you so nervous? It is just a dance." Daisy only nodded her head in response. After a little pause, Nicolas continued, "You are amazing dancer, I have to say. I just love it." "Thanks Nick. The feeling is quite mutual," Daisy replied slyly, without looking at him.Nicolas declared in his croaked voice, "Don't worry partner. W
Helen ran behind Daisy but when she reached to her, she saw Daisy already gulped down two glasses of tequila. Helen was struck by the crowd on the dance floor so she couldn't follow Daisy instantly. Helen asked Daisy with concern, "Dear, slow down. You will not be able to tolerate this much. What has happened Daisy?"Daisy replied with a wobbly tone, " Ugh! nothing. I feel like I should try alcohol today." Helen was stunned, seeing such an attitude of Daisy. Daisy on one hand herself didn't know why she was behaving like that. She was feeling betrayed, disappointed and heartbroken, seeing Nick hugging another girl, on the other hand, she was trying to understand why she was feeling so sad when Nick was just a friend of her. The warm liquid burnt her throat but it affected her mind more brutally as the feeling of disappointment and betrayal started increasing, suppressing her logical side. Without noticing, she already gulped down three more glasses.Helen ask
Gritting his teeth angrily, Lucas murmured, "When has she given you the permission to talk on behalf of her? Or are you targeting Daisy too? A playboy like you is judging me??"Nicolas immediately yelled, "Shut up, Lucas. Don't talk rubbish. You don't know anything about us. How dare u blame me?"Nicolas furiously started taking small steps towards Lucas. Lucas also did the same and replied, "Nick, better you step back. She has invited me to herself. Mind your own business and don't interrupt us."Nicolas demanded while tightening his grip around Daisy's wrist, "You are in such a pathetic condition that now you are trying to take advantage of a drunk girl!" Then after a little pause, he continued, "No I will not step back without her. Leave her hand, Lucas. I think it is already late and she should return." Lucas replied, without freeing Daisy's hand, "You are right. She must return to her house now. But I am the one who is going to dri
Next morning when Daisy opened her eyes, she could feel a strong headache and her head was feeling extremely heavy. Her head was still spinning and she was still sleepy. She looked at the clock, it was showing 10:25 pm already. She was about to leave her bed to freshen her up when Rhea opened the door suddenly without even knocking and entered with a glass of juice. Daisy was feeling guilty. she was thinking that she had misused her freedom yesterday night. Though she couldn't remember the whole matter at all, she knew very well that she created a lot of mess after drinking. She was trying to apologise so she looked at her mom with her puppy eyes and about to speak when her mom handed her the juice and replied in her usual polite tone, "Drink it, sweetie. It is great for getting relief from a hangover." Then gently caressing, the back of her head, she continued, "It's alright. you don't have to feel sorry."Instantly, Daisy's lips curled up, she nodded
"Ugh! Shut up. Don't make fun of me, Helen," replied Daisy, while rolling her eyes, dramatically.Daisy looked at Helen little shyly and asked in a low tone, "So have Nick also called you?"Helen smiled broadly and replied, "Yes yes. Do you want to call him? Give me your phone."Then without giving Daisy any chance to reply, Helen grabbed Daisy's phone and started saving Nicolas's contact.Daisy asked anxiously while trying to snatch her phone from Helen, "What are you doing? Are you calling him on my phone? Helen, give my phone back. You evil girl!"Helen beautifully dodged Daisy's attack and escaping from her, she replied mockingly, "No dear, I am just saving his contact so that you two can talk whole night. But you are shouting?? Sigh!"After typing a few more digits, Helen handed over Daisy's phone to her. Daisy replied, "Why I will call him like this??
Daisy was about to yell when Nicolas asked nonchalantly, “What? Why are you giving that expression?” His rare purple eyes were shinning like gems?
“I have some works. So, you don’t have to wait,” Daisy replied, without looking at Nicolas. Nicolas stubbornly replied, “Ok, I will wait until you finish your all sorts of works.”Daisy replied anxiously, “Not at all. You cannot wait for me.”
