"Host's vitality has already been depleted eight times during the Full Moon Trials. Any further injuries will result in immediate death, forcing an exit from this world and a return to reality."

"Please rest assured, Host. Your family in the real world has fully recovered and is waiting for your return!"

I let out a sigh of relief and slowly closed my eyes.

I could finally go home.

The venomous snakes sank their sharp fangs deeper into my flesh. My vision turned pitch black in waves, and my consciousness began to slip away.

The only reason I had been thrown into this pit was that my three brothers claimed that snake venom was my adopted sister Victoria's sole weakness. As her blood slave, I had to be bitten repeatedly to develop antibodies. Once she consumed my blood, she would be immune to the venom.

I never expected that this twist of fate would finally fulfill my obsession with going home.

Just as my consciousness was about to fade entirely, the stone door of the forbidden grounds suddenly blasted open, followed by a rush of hurried footsteps.

"Vivian, get out of here right now! Victoria damaged her wolf spirit during training. She desperately needs your blood!"

My wolf spirit was already incredibly fragile. The moment I heard that harsh bark, my body couldn't help but shudder.

It was Chris. He was one of the few formidable warriors left in our declining Silver Moon Pack.

He was also the one who used to stay by my bedside night after night, singing ancient lullabies to soothe me to sleep.

But now, whenever Victoria got hurt, he was always the first to rush over, piercing my flesh with a sharp blade.

Once, the pain became so unbearable that I swallowed my pride for the very first time and begged him. "Please... just let the witch drain my healing power and turn me into her personal puppet. That way, even if I die, she will have a never-ending supply of blood..."

A flash of shock had crossed his eyes. For once, he didn't snap at me. Instead, he simply sighed.

"Vivian, you've committed too many wrongs against Victoria in the past. You have to atone for your sins."

"She carries the hope of our entire Silver Moon Pack."

"So, look at the bigger picture. Stop expecting me to go soft on you."

My drifting memories were abruptly cut short by the loud crack of chains whipping against the stone wall.

Chris stormed in. "Vivian, why aren't you answering me? What kind of tantrum are you throwing now?"

But when he finally saw the countless fang marks covering my body, a look of sheer horror flashed across his cold eyes.

"Vivian!"

He lunged forward and grabbed me.

"How did this happen? I clearly gave orders to only leave a few snakes that wouldn't threaten your life..."

The corners of my bloody lips curled into a faint smile. I used the last of my strength to push his large hand away.

Of course, he didn't know. The moment he had left, Victoria—the adopted sister he pampered like a prize—had quietly slipped into the cavern and unlocked the chains of every single venomous snake.

By now, the venom, harvested from snakes raised on toxic wolf-grass, had already spread through my entire body.

I could clearly feel my wolf spirit vanishing bit by bit. My heart beat with a heavy, sluggish thud, and my vision grew increasingly dark.

Just one more moment, and I would leave this place forever.

But in the next second, a powerful surge of spiritual energy forced its way into my body, violently pumping into my shattered veins.

I snapped my eyes open in shock, staring straight into Chris's eyes.

His eyes were bloodshot, but his tone remained cold.

"You don't have my permission to die! Your life belongs to Silver Moon! Victoria is still waiting for your blood!"
