Chapter 3

ผู้เขียน: Reneemoon
As the Silver Moon Pack's most skilled healer, he was usually cold and quiet. His own wolf spirit was weak, and every time he performed a healing ritual, it cost him a great deal of vitality.

Yet this time, he had sacrificed his own life-force to drag me back from the brink of death.

Seeing my eyes flutter open, a flash of relief crossed his face, though it was instantly masked by cold indifference.

"You're awake? Staging these childish, clumsy stunts just to seek attention makes you completely inferior to Victoria."

"To prevent you from disturbing Victoria again, I have driven bone-locking spikes into your limbs to suppress your strength. Without my permission, you won't be able to move an inch."

An agonizing pain surged through my arms and legs. In the next second, I lost even the strength to curl my fingertips.

I could neither live nor die.

Hot tears fell silently. I let out a low, bitter laugh. "Why... why do you strip me of control over my own body over and over again without my permission?"

Aidan's expression darkened instantly, his tone icy. "Because you've tried to harm Victoria time and time again. You are a pathological liar, and you don't deserve a shred of trust!"

How absurd.

When I was first born, the three of them had cradled me in my swaddling clothes and sworn an oath before the Moon Goddess. They promised that in this lifetime, they would cherish and trust only me as their little sister.

Yet those resounding vows had now shriveled into a single phrase: "don't deserve a shred of trust."

Chris, who was recovering from his own injuries nearby, slowly opened his eyes. Seeing how red my eyes were, he hesitated for a brief moment before reaching over to pat the top of my head.

"Vivian, we are doing this for your own good. We spoiled and indulged you too much when you were a child, which made you this willful."

"Breaking your stubborn pride will keep you from dragging Victoria down, and it will ensure you lead a stable life in the future."

Before he could finish his sentence, the door was violently kicked open.

Evan burst into the room, holding a deathly pale Victoria in his arms. His eyes were bloodshot as he glared at me.

"Vivian! How can you be so vicious?!"

"First, you deliberately self-harmed to grab our attention, and then you forced Victoria to sneak into the forbidden grounds to harvest spiritual herbs for you!"

Hearing this, Chris and Aidan snapped their heads toward me, their faces turning livid instantly.

The corners of my dry lips twitched.

I had been locked away in the snake pit during that entire time, fighting for my life. How could I have possibly forced anyone to do anything?

"System," I called out silently in my mind, "remove all the bone-locking spikes from my body at the cost of my own lifespan."

In an instant, the bone-locking spikes binding my limbs dissolved without a sound.

At the same moment, Victoria slowly opened her eyes in Evan's arms. She immediately put on a tearful face.

"Brothers... please don't blame her... She was just desperate to heal her wounds, which is why she begged me to go into the forbidden grounds to pick the blood berries for her..."

But a loud, stinging slap abruptly cut off her entire performance.

Victoria clutched her burning cheek, staring at me in utter disbelief.

My three brothers instantly erupted in fury.

"You are pure evil!" Evan shoved me violently to the floor. "Victoria was kind enough to make excuses for you, yet you dare harm her right in front of us?!"

"From this moment on, I will lock you in the cellar for the rest of your life as punishment!"

I slowly lowered my head and let out a quiet laugh. "There's no need to go to all that trouble."

Under their bewildered stares, I swiftly pulled out a silver dagger I had hidden away.

Without a single shred of hesitation, I plunged the freezing, gleaming tip straight into my own heart.

Warm blood erupted fiercely, staining my clothes crimson.

All the strength drained from my body, and I fell straight backward.

Their panicked, heartbroken screams instantly exploded in my ears.

But I simply closed my eyes.

I thought to myself, "System, now, I can finally go back to my real brother..."

On the glowing screen, I laughed so happily, my eyes sparkling with a mischievous light.Seeing this, they suddenly tried to recall just how long it had been since I had smiled like that.Ever since Victoria appeared, her smiles had grown rarer and rarer, until nothing remained but a deathly, stagnant calm. They were the ones who had personally snuffed out that light.Chris remained silent for a long time before he finally spoke in a raspy voice."We might... never earn your forgiveness.""But as long as you are safe and happy from now on... that is enough.""Go back. Go back to the world where you truly belong."With bloodshot eyes and clenched fists, Aidan and Evan made no further move to stop me.I closed my eyes."I hope the next time I hear news of Silver Moon, it will be a place of true prosperity and peace.""Don't stay stagnant... for the sake of the past.""And stop constantly pinning your hopes on other people."The moment I dissolved into a stream of flowing lig

"When I was here, you didn't know how to cherish me." My voice was entirely calm. "Now that I'm gone, you put on this display of longing. At the end of the day, your repentance is just a desperate attempt to prove to yourselves that you weren't actually that stupid.""No! That's not true!" Chris shrieked, coughing up blood."This is where it ends." I turned and walked toward the door. "Let's stop disturbing each other. This is for the best."Suddenly, my ankle was grabbed.Covered in blood, the once-arrogant Alpha of the Silver Moon Pack was now kneeling humbly in the dust."Have you forgotten? The silver-scaled fish from the Moonlight Forest... I used to catch a whole basketful for you every single time...""Your cheeks always puffed up whenever you ate them..." His voice trembled violently. "We still have so many memories together. Have you really forgotten them all?"I froze for a moment.Memories came rushing back in waves.I remembered when I was first born, how they took

Upon landing, I realized my wrists were shackled by freezing metal cuffs. The heavy, suffocating scent of fresh blood hit my nose immediately.I opened my eyes and waited for them to adjust to the dim lighting. I found myself locked away inside a cold, dark dungeon. What shocked me even more was looking down to find myself wearing a tattered, blood-soaked dress. This was Victoria's body. The system chimed in right on cue to explain."Because your original physical form was severely damaged and officially designated as dead by the original world system, I had no choice but to temporarily transfer your consciousness into Victoria's body."Before I could fully process this information, the vicious crack of a whip sliced through the air, lashing down brutally upon me."Ah!"Even though I tried to brace myself, the agonizing bite of the whip against my flesh forced a sharp scream from my lips. This body had clearly been subjected to relentless torture, leaving it hyper-sensitive to

When I regained consciousness, the first thing I saw was a ceiling decorated with star stickers. My head throbbed, and a phantom-like ache rippled through my chest, leaving me dazed and disoriented. Was it all a dream?Click. The door was gently pushed open.I turned my head. My brother, William, walked in, carrying a bowl of steaming soup."You're awake? You still have a mild fever. Don't move around."He walked over, bringing with him the fresh scent of clothes dried in the sun.I stared at him, completely frozen by the sight of his perfectly healthy arms and legs.William was truly healthy again..."What are you daydreaming about?" He reached out and gently pinched my cheek with his warm, dry palm. It was a familiar, affectionate gesture. "I made your favorite soup. Eat it while it's hot."He brought a spoonful of the fragrant soup to my lips, carefully blowing on it first.I stared blankly at his face, so close to mine. My eyes instantly grew hot, and my vision blurred.

Terrified by the sheer, murderous intent in his eyes, Victoria shook her head frantically. Tears and snot streamed down her face as she tried to argue."No! Brothers, don't believe that voice! It's Vivian! That bitch was jealous of me! She set me up, and now she's framing me from beyond the grave! She—"Crack!A silver streak flashed through the air. A steel whip wrapped tightly around Victoria's neck, choking back her venomous curses. She could only make raw, wheezing gasps."Answer his question!" Evan's voice was completely devoid of warmth. "And don't you dare defile Vivian's name again!"Victoria's eyes turned bloodshot. Her hands clawed desperately at the tightening whip. The sheer terror of death finally shattered her denial."It was... it was the High Elder of the Shadow Pack! He sent me!" She coughed hoarsely. "He said... his astrology revealed that if the Silver Moon Pack had a female Alpha, it would grow too powerful and threaten them. Especially you three. You would be

Right at that moment, the moonlight—which had already been thrown into chaos by Victoria's botched ascension—suddenly began to surge frantically.Dark clouds gathered heavily in the sky. Deep within the cloud layers, silver-white lightning rolled and churned, letting out a low, terrifying rumble. A full moon night had never looked so ominous.A deep, booming voice echoed from above. "Victoria, you are a traitor to your pack. You hid in disguise and used dark magic to steal resources from various packs. Today, you die!"The voice resonated directly in the depths of every Silver Moon pack member's soul."It's a bounty hunter sent by the Wolf King!" Chris's voice cracked with sheer terror. "Why are you here? Wait... what do you mean by..."“Steal resources?” He snapped his head around, his bloodshot eyes locking fiercely onto Victoria. “Speak! What is the meaning of this?!”Victoria's body trembled violently as she tried to defend herself. "No... brothers, it's not like that! Vivian
