If someone had told Maya he'd run into his ex on a scorching Sunday afternoon at a shoe store, he would have stayed home. No hesitation, no debate, he would have locked himself inside with a tub of ice cream and binge-watched old anime reruns until the sun set.

Because now, standing under the buzzing fluorescent lights of Sports & Kicks, was the very last person he wanted to see.

Dante.

And to make matters worse, Maya’s current boyfriend was just a few aisles down, trying on basketball shoes, oblivious to the hurricane unfolding only steps away.

Maya wasn’t the one who noticed Dante first. In fact, he had no idea how Dante even spotted him. Maybe it was his scent. Maybe it was just dumb, cosmic misfortune. Was Maya pleased? Absolutely not. Was he panicking? Yes, unquestionably yes. His fingers were trembling, his breath shallow. Because standing in front of him wasn’t just his ex of barely a year ... it was the ex he was still hopelessly, tragically in love with.

His name sat heavy in Maya's chest: Dante.

And behind him, at the far end of the aisle, stood Taiga—his boyfriend. Tall, brash, talented, kind. Unknowing.

Maya was an Omega, an Elite Prime Omega, to be precise. The kind that wasn't supposed to let emotions override reason. The kind expected to hold composure like royalty. He had control, power, and rank. But right now, the distress scent curling off his skin betrayed everything.

Dante, of course, noticed. His trademark smirk tugged at the corners of his lips, effortlessly cool, like nothing had changed.

But everything had changed.

In their society, secondary genders meant everything. Alpha and Omega, those were just the basics. Each had ranks, each a rung on an unforgiving social ladder. For Alphas, the hierarchy went: Alpha, Prime Alpha, Elite Prime Alpha, Enigma, Elite Enigma, and the rare Elite Prime Enigma. For Omegas: Omega, Prime Omega, Elite Prime Omega, Luna, Elite Luna, and finally Elite Prime Luna. Lunas were considered the top—rulers of the matriarchal system in theory, but in practice, Omegas were often treated like background noise unless they had status. Respect was reserved for the high ranks. Power, for the rare.

And Dante? He was an Elite Prime Enigma.

A rarity. An anomaly. Possibly dangerous.

He was either someone powerful or the child of someone even more so. A rising basketball star on the national team, not NBA-level yet, but it was only a matter of time. His father ran an electrical company and more businesses than Maya could count. They had met in middle school, played on the same team, dated in their third year, and broke up just before graduation.

Now, here he was again.

The air was heavy with unspoken words. Maya’s scent pulsed with unease.

He wanted to run. But footsteps approached behind him, firm and fast.

“Maya, are you okay?” Taiga’s voice cut through the tension. “You smell... off.”

Maya flinched. He didn’t answer.

Taiga stepped beside him, blinking when he noticed Dante. “Oh, Dante? What a surprise. What are you doing here? Haven’t seen you since the Winter Cup.”

Dante’s gaze shifted to him, unreadable and cold. He didn’t speak.

The silence between them was sharp.

Maya felt it, saw it. The way Taiga squared his shoulders. The way Dante tilted his head slightly, appraising. The way the air suddenly seemed too thin to breathe in.

Panic flared.

Before things could escalate, Maya bowed stiffly, took Taiga’s hand, and tugged him toward the back of the store.

“We meet again, Maya,” Dante said behind them, voice smooth and cruelly calm. “I see you’ve already replaced me.”

He walked away without waiting for a reply.

Maya stopped mid-step. Taiga stared at him, confusion bleeding into concern.

And Maya?

He had a whole storm of explanations to give, and no idea where to begin.

Maya didn’t speak for a while, not even when they stepped outside into the sticky afternoon heat. His fingers stayed wrapped around Taiga’s, but his mind was somewhere else entirely, replaying every second of that encounter like a looping curse.

Dante’s smirk.

That voice.

“I see you’ve already replaced me.”

Maya flinched just remembering it.

Taiga finally tugged his hand gently. “You’re shaking.”

“I know,” Maya muttered. His voice sounded smaller than usual.

  • Aligned Fantasy   High or Drunk

Trigger Warning : This chapter contains mature scenes.. Kisses like they were starved. Taiga's hands roamed, Dante's hands groped and touched everything, anything, like he would die if he didn't have a taste of the Luna in his arms, tongue trailing over every inch, kisses dragged down his neck, fingers grabbing plush thighs until he was grinding and rutting like a crazed man. "Fuck, you smell good," he panted, grabbing a fistful of hair before swallowing the needy moans daring to escape from Taiga's lips. "I bet I taste good too," Taiga rasped out. The groan Dante let out was enough to send waves down his spine. Before he knew it, he was being picked up effortlessly and dropped onto the massive bed in front of him. He took in the sight of Taiga on his bed. It might not have been the first time he'd had him there, yet it still did something to him, the Luna on his bed was beautiful, hooded eyes staring up at him, waiting for his next touch, kiss, word, anything. He watched Taiga's

  • Aligned Fantasy   Surfing on sand.

Taiga slowly pushed the bedroom door open, his heartbeat loud enough to make his chest ache. The room was dimly lit, the curtains drawn halfway while soft golden light spilled across the expensive furniture. Everything smelled like Dante. Cedarwood, smoke, and something dark underneath it all. But Dante was not there. Taiga frowned slightly, stepping further into the room before a strange sound caught his attention. A harsh gargling sound. His eyes shifted toward the bathroom door. The sound came again, quieter this time, followed by the rush of running water. Taiga’s expression hardened instantly. Without thinking twice, he walked toward the bathroom and pushed the door open. Dante froze. One hand gripped the edge of the sink while the other hurriedly wiped at his mouth. Water still dripped from his lips, but Taiga immediately noticed the faint streaks of red staining the white sink basin. And beside it. Bloodied tissues inside the waste bin. Dante’s eyes wi

  • Aligned Fantasy   Wilting Flower

He looked the same, but he felt different. Sweat poured down his face, heavy breaths leaving his lips as he stared at himself in the mirror. He did not look much different from before. In fact, he looked exactly the same. But one thing was certain, Taiga felt like a completely different person. His mind drifted back to the conversation he had with Phoebe. Dante was slowly withering away. One of two things could happen now. Either he successfully broke the half bond they already shared, or Taiga finally admitted his feelings and completed it.“I love him,” he whispered aloud, the words sounding strange and heavy in the silence of the room. Now all that was left was saying it to Dante’s face. The drive to Dante’s house was painfully quiet. Tatsuya kept stealing quick glances at him from the driver’s seat, his fingers tapping lazily against the steering wheel while soft music played in the background.“Hey,” Tatsuya finally spoke, breaking the silence, “I’m sure whatever you’re

  • Aligned Fantasy   Taiga And His Luna.

Linking with his Luna wasn’t supposed to be easy. Taiga knew that. Everyone always said it was the hardest thing a Luna could do, because it wasn’t just physical, it was a complete surrender of self. Still, he hadn’t expected it to feel like this. He lay in bed, sheets twisted around his bare legs, body slick with sweat. The room felt like a furnace, the air heavy with his pheromones. Heat pulsed through every nerve, relentless waves pounding his body as though trying to split him open from the inside. And yet, through it all, he forced himself to stay awake. He wasn’t going to lose consciousness. Not tonight. Normally, when any secondary gender entered heat or rut, the primary gender slipped back, became dormant, letting the secondary drive the body until the cycle ended. It was nature’s way of surviving something so brutal. But for a Luna, things were different. If he wanted to truly link with his Luna, if he wanted total control and communication between both parts of himself, h

  • Aligned Fantasy   Reality Is A Bitch 2.

Trigger warning: This scene contains Non consexual sex, Do proceed with caution! The ride to Takuri’s apartment had been a blur of panic and resistance. Rin remembered every second of it, the grip on his wrist, iron and unyielding, the way Takuri all but shoved him into the passenger seat, the harsh silence broken only by his own ragged breaths. The doors had locked automatically. There was no escape. When the car finally stopped, Rin had barely opened his mouth to protest before he was yanked out, his body stumbling, dragged like prey by the predator he once thought he understood. Inside, Takuri’s apartment smelled of clean leather and faint cologne. Too polished. Too suffocating. Rin’s pulse hammered in his ears. “Takuri—stop! You can’t just—” His voice cracked, but the words died when Takuri turned, eyes burning that deep Enigma glow, his jaw set with something primal. Izumi was there. Sitting elegantly on a chair, a glass of red wine in hand, her legs crossed. Watching. W

  • Aligned Fantasy   Reality Is A Bitch.

Taiga was shocked, worry written boldly across his face. Was Dante dying? What had become of him? “Do you love my son?” Phoebe asked, her sharp eyes fixed on him. “Apparently, he confides in my butler more than he does his own mother.” She gave a strained laugh, bitter at the edges. “Aoki says he confided in him one night. My son had asked what he would have done if the person he loves doesn’t love him back.” She sighed, her expression faltering. Taiga’s eyes widened. He dragged his hands down his face, remembering that night, the silly game they’d played, the word that had sat at the tip of his tongue. He hadn’t wanted to spit it out, hadn’t wanted to let his Luna surrender so easily. “If the feelings I have are one-sided, then I’d love them more than anyone has ever loved them, even if it kills me. That was the reply that damned butler gave him,” Phoebe continued. She gave a short chuckle and shook her head in disdain. “Why? Why does my love affect him so badly? I accepted

Tatsuya paced the training hall, veins straining in his neck. Remembering Dante pissed him off. He needed a target. He needed to strike. And Murasame was there. Elsewhere, in the dim glow of his own apartment, Murasame’s voice was calm but edged with unease as he leaned against the window, phone pressed to his ear. “Kota,” he said simply. “I thought you should know. Inojin is pregnant.” On the other end of the line, silence stretched, heavy and stunn

  • Aligned Fantasy   Jealousy And Pain 2.

Dante met with Rei in a dimly lit lounge. Rei poured himself a glass of wine, liquid swirling in the light. “You’ve noticed it too,” Rei said smoothly. “Taiga is planning something. Gathering my pact mates. Building his own pack inside mine.” Dante leaned back, smirking. “He thinks he's cleve

  • Aligned Fantasy   Phase One Begins 2.

“Dante is an elite prime Enigma. That alone is rare. Fuse that with Rei, an elite Enigma in his own right and you get a power source strong enough for others to follow. If they’ve formed a pact, then I’ve figured them out. I know how to play their game. And in the process, I can keep us safe, broth
