Chapter VII

A year had passed like a blur.

Kade and I have gone stronger. Right now, we are in his condo and are cuddling with each other. We are not really in a relationship. We are in what they call mutual understanding but we consider ourselves as a couple already.

I am currently staying in with him since its weekends. During weekdays, we have to sleep in our own place. He also sometimes sleeps in my place. We cook meals together and literally do everything together.

“Hey, I got a package coming. Would you like to help me build it?”

“Sure!”

After a few minutes spent on the bed, we got up as someone was outside the door. He came back to the bed with a yellow combined with blue box.

“What’s that?”

He opened the box and it was a photo of a movie cartoon character. Kade is really adorable so I decided to take a video of what we are doing.

“Girlfriend?”

“Yes?”

“Minions make me happy.”

I giggled.

“I just f*cking love them so much!”

We both laugh at how silly he was and I ended the video.

“You do have a very dirty mouth. Lean closer boyfriend and I’ll clean it.” Kade gave me a naughty smile but obeyed my instructions.

I can smell his minty breath and kissed his lips fully.

When I really his lips, his ears and neck are red.

“Are you blushing?”

My boyfriend immediately covered his face.

“Are you blushing?”

“No. I am not.” He uttered and I just sat there trying to hold my laughter.

While I was looking at him, my phone rang. The caller is Mama Honey.

“Mama?”

“May photoshoot ka bukas, Isla. It’s at 9 o’clock.”

“Noted mama.”

I ended the call.

“You have a schedule tomorrow?”

“Yes, my boyfriend. I have one at nine.”

“I’ll come with you, okay?”

“Sure. Whatever you say, boyfriend.”

The next few hours were with us trying to build the lego minion. We were done at around 10:00.

I did my night routine then had a glass of water on the bedside table.

“Sleep now, my girlfriend.”

I crawled and settled myself on top of him. I always make him my pillow. Thankfully, he doesn’t complain.

“Good night, my girlfriend.”

“Good night.”

“I love you.”

“I love you.”

Then he hummed a song to make me fall asleep.

6 o’clock in the morning.

I was awoken by my boyfriend granting kisses all over my face.

“Good morning!”

“Morning.” Then he gave me a kiss on the lips.

“Hey! I didn’t brush my teeth yet.” I covered my mouth. I think my breath smells awful in the morning.

“I don’t mind. I love kissing my girlfriend.”

After that bed scene, I showered and choose a very simple outfit. An oversized shirt and a two-toned cargo pants and a pair of chunky shoes. I just let my hair down since it’s still wet and I’m kind of lazy in drying it using the hair blower.

My boyfriend just entered the bedroom with his cute minion apron.

He has obsession with them.

“Aren’t you gonna dry your hair?”

“I’m lazy.”

Kade stride to get near me.

“Let me do the work.”

He plugged in the hair blower and did dry my hair. It took us minutes to finish. He was gentle and patient.

“There. All done.”

“Thanks!”

“Don’t I receive a rewards?”

“Okay!” I gave him a quick lip kiss.

“Is that it?”

“Geez, babe! Go and get ready now.” I said while laughing and pushing him towards the bathroom.

“Ready your lips. I’ll eat it for breakfast.” I rolled my eyes.

At 8 o’clock, we were done with breakfast. But we decided to first pass by Starbucks. I ordered my usual iced coffee and a banana bread while he had a caramel macchiato.

We were welcomed by lots of paparazzi on the way out. My boyfriend was there to make sure I got in safe.

“They are crazy!”

“That’s why I came with you.”

“You are the most gorgeous bodyguard I ever had.”

For about thirty minutes, we were on the road. 

We arrived at exactly nine. The staffs help us get inside as those paparazzi swarm outside our car.

“Our ever-so-gorgeous, Isla de Catalina!”

I had about twenty outfit change.

It was tiring but Kade was always there to cheer me up. The management treated us lunch.

By the way, I’ve been seeing a doctor for my eating disorder. I’ve been going on medications and Kade was always there for me.

He was the one who caught me purging after a meal with him at my place. We had a chill conversation. I confessed to him and he encouraged me to see a doctor. The next day, I immediately seek medical attention.

I undergone some test and I have some rules to follow. I have gained a few weight since I stop binging and purging. Kade was there to be my workout buddy and to bring me genuine optimism.

After my photoshoot, he handed me a chocolate drink.

“Thanks!”

“No problem!”

We had a long break. We were called in the CEO’s office. The people in there were literally taking photos of us.

Kade is friends with the CEO of the company.

“Mr. Doyle, Mr. Gutierrez is still at a board meeting. You can wait inside the office. The essentials are already prepared inside as per instructed.  “

We entered at office and the interiors are glorious.

There are some bondpapers and pens on the table for visitors.

“Come, let’s draw!”

“Won’t Mr. Gutierrez be mad?”

“Nah. Michael is okay with it. This is really for me. He knows what are my essentials when I visit his office.”

We sat on the carpeted floor. I don’t mind sitting on the floor and so those my boyfriend.

“Let’s draw each other!” I suggested.

“Game!”

We were seriously in the mood when a flash of camera interrupted.

“Singer Kade Doyle is found drawing and sitting on the carpeted floor with his supermodel girlfriend, Isla de Catalina.”

A man in his business suit sat on the CEO’s chair.

“Hi, Miss Isla. I’m Michael Ashton Gutierrez, the CEO.”

“Oh, hi!”

He motioned us to seat.

Kade pulled me to seat on his lap.

It was awkward, I tell you!

“Jealous ma, are we?”

“My girlfriend sits on my lap and you can do nothing about it.”
