Chapter VIII

It was really sweet for him to tweet something like that. I am currently preparing for a fashion show by Bailey Sabrina Gutierrez clothing line. She is basically Michael’s stepsister. We were called that day because Miss Bailey wanted me to be on her fashion show. He even showed me the designs for her latest collection and I just fell in love so I said yes.

And now I am here, preparing to take over the stage.

Kade, my boyfriend will also be here as an audience at the front row.

I’m kind of nervous. It’s a big event.

Rare Beauty is a well-known clothing line, locally and internationally. Every fashion show is sold out and the most awaited brand every year to launch their fashion show. They set trends and styles. And this year, they also extended their business to cosmetics.

With the release of new designs of clothes, they would also be releasing the cosmetics of Rare Beauty and we are so lucky to have the first try on the kits.

They have well pigmented kits and the shades are amazing!

Just the last time, our picture going out of the Starbucks and us, drawing and sitting on the carpeted floor went through the internet by storm. The photo from Starbucks was posted on Twitter and I*******m by a fan account and the latter was posted by my very loving boyfriend.

He captioned, ‘Drawing game with my favorite person. @NotIslaRae’

“Okay everyone, listen up. The show is about to start. Make your formations, now.” She then clapped her hands.

Miss Bailey entered with her latest dress from the collection and knee length boots.

“I believe in everyone. Go team! Show them, the rare beauty!”

The music started pumping our moods. One by one, we exited the backstage and kill the runway.

The first person my eyes landed to is my boyfriend with his big smile while looking at me. I tried so hard not to smile and thankfully, I did it successfully.

It was a successful event and as a treat, Miss Bailey had an amazing after party. She even granted Kade and I a yacht getaway.

“You are the lucky charm for this year and I’m very glad that you accepted my invitation.”

“That was nothing. I am a fan of your works and this is actually a dream come true.”

“Accept this yacht getaway gift for the both of you.”

“Thank you so much for this! This is too much.”

“It’s nothing, Isla.”

After three days, we consummate the yacht getaway. It was only the two of us.

“You look really good in that bikini, babe.”

“Thanks.” I replied calmly but is actually in so much heart race inside.

He never fails to make me feel super in love.

“What shall we do now?”

“Cuddle? Or we could swim.”

“Let’s cuddle later and swim now.”

He removed his shirt. Those rock-hard abs are saying ‘hi’ to me.

“You love a man with abs?”

“No. I go for personality and not abs. I appreciate every man’s body type.”

I immediately jumped to the cold blue salty sea.

When I was about to go up, someone grabbed my waist and I tried hard to resist but my attacker is stronger.

“Hey, it’s me.” he hushed me.

I was calm and we were so close to each other.

“I thought someone has got me.”

“Sorry for that. I didn’t mean to.”

“It’s fine.”

“For you. But for me, it’s not. I should not play like that again.”

I kiss him to erase the guilt he is feeling.

“I’m fine with it, okay? Let’s just have fun.”

I once again kiss him but it goes beyond more. We are already making out!

We were catching our breath as we separated our lips.

“That was hot, babe.” I commented, still catching me breathe.

“We should not do that again.”

“Why?”

“I respect you so much and I want to do it after we seal ourselves with bands.”

“Like a condom and pills?”

“No. Wedding rings. I also swear in front your dad that I would do the deed if were married already.”

Isn’t he sweet?

“Fine.”

He pinched my nose and I removed myself from his hold and swam far away from him.

“Come and get me!” I cheered.

He shows great enthusiasm and smirked.

“Uh-oh.”

He was a fast swimmer and I had to tried harder.

We spent the whole afternoon, him chasing me.

After dinner, we were seated outside, watching the bright, night sky. The night sky is undeniably full of stars.

The three days on the yacht was enough to fully energized us to start working again. It’s was a short vacation. Like a break for us to not feel burnout with our work.

Upon getting back to work, I was immediately on a photoshoot by a magazine featuring summer vibes.

They also did a question and answer with me.

“So, if you were stuck in an island or forest, who would you most likely to be with?”

“If I would get stuck in an island or forest, I’d like to be with my boyfriend. “then gave them a sly smile and wiggled my eyebrows.

My boyfriend was so happy about that. We went skating the next day, just inside the village to prevent the paparazzi from interrupting us.

“Our supplies are running short. Should we go shopping?”

I instantly agreed.

We were holding hands while walking on the grocery department of the mall.

I was pushing the cart and he was also pushing the cart behind me. Sometimes, he would put his chin on the crook of my neck and would often smell it, giving me chills.

Kade let go of me when we are in the meat section. He’ll chose what meat should we buy.

Upon spending thirty minutes on the meat section, we headed to the next one and I had the urge to kiss him. So when we are already at the spices section, I pulled him closer to me and kissed him. Our lips are connected to each other for about 0.2 seconds and I pulled away.

My boyfriend’s so handsome. Can’t blame me for too much PDA with him.

That was a sweet quick kiss, I will never forget.
