Adrian moved toward, filled with rage.

Brian tightened his grip on my waist as Adrian was right in front of us.

“Lisa,” he said, with his voice low. “Enjoy this while it lasts.”

I raised an eyebrow. “Enjoy what?”

“You pretending you’ve moved on.”

He leaned in slightly, forcing Brian to pull me even closer.

“You’ll crawl back,” he whispered. “Real soon.”

I actually laughed.

It came out unexpectedly, in a cold manner.

“Keep dreaming,” I said.

His lips pressed into a thin line. If Brian wasn’t beside me, I swear Adrian would’ve said worse or even strangle me.

Monica suddenly appeared beside him, still glued to his arm like a piece of gum. Sucks!!.

“Baby, there you are,” she chirped.

Adrian didn’t even look at her.

He kept staring at me.

Then, slowly, like he wanted to make sure I watched. He grabbed Monica by the chin and kissed her.

Soft and gentle.

Her eyes flew wide; she definitely didn’t expect it.
