Alora’s POV

“Wake up! Wake up!! Wake up!!!” Nyx’s voice echoed in my mind as I turned and stretched on the king-sized bed, my hands instinctively searching for Morgan, as his scent wrapped around me like a cloak. “Where was he”?

I winced at the sun filtering in through the curtain as my eyes adjusted to the room.

When my eyes finally opened, I gasped at who I saw.

Violet was standing beside my bed, arms crossed, her cold brown eyes staring down on me like a ghost.

I blinked, startled. "Violet?"

“You’re finally awake… Luna” she said the last word with an air quote.

My heart thudded in my chest like a drum. It was the first time I've seen her up close since I arrived three days ago.

“What are you doing in my room’? I asked.

“Oh, it's your room now”? She asked, cackling like a maniac.

My hands instinctively grabbed my pendant for comfort.

“Morgan’s room” I corrected, feeling uneasy. “Besides, where is he?" I asked, looking around and hoping he would come save me from the menace staring

Morgan’s POVI felt Harry’s hands on my shoulders, and I looked up at him. “Patience Alpha”, his voice came through the mind link.I heaved a sigh and sat down. When the Sage saw that I was calm, he began his speech.“Now, the next matter we would table with the council is the matter of your fated mate, which may turn out to be Luna in the near future. He heaved a sigh, “Alora is a hybrid. We saw what happened during her shift. She walked on two legs. Her fur… silver with streaks of blue. That is not natural.”My hands curled into fists.“She is a moon-born according to the high priestess,” he continued, “but as good as that sounds, moonborns are rare for a reason. Their power is unpredictable. If she becomes Luna, and her strength clashes with yours during bonding…what happens to the balance of the kingdom?”“You’re afraid of her,” I said, voice low. “Because she’s not like you.”“We are afraid of the unknown,” the Sage said calmly. “And your duty is to this pack, not to a she-wolf

  • Alora: My Hybrid Luna   CHAPTER 85: The Verdict I

Morgan POVThe council chamber was cold and, for the first time since I lost my parents on that dreadful day, I wished my father was still alive, showing me the way and telling me what to do and which step to take at this point in my life. It's been three days since I found out I was going to be a father. Now here I was in the council of elders, their eyes watching and judging what they knew nothing about.I stood at the center of the room. The same one where war strategies had been drawn, treaties signed, and death sentences passed. Today, it was me under trial.Twelve elders sat in their usual crescent. The Sage wore a priestly robe that I believed would feel as heavy as the judgments that he would pass on me.My brother, Jones, stood quietly to the side, arms folded, while Harry stood behind me, his eyes darting from one elder to another, his stance protective, as if he could protect me from what was coming. Then my eyes locked on Violet, the thorn in my flesh. She sat close to h

  • Alora: My Hybrid Luna   CHAPTER 84: Drunk on Guilt

Morgan’s POVI was lying in bed, in my dark room with the window closed and curtains drawn tight when I heard a knock on the door. The air reeked of alcohol, sweat, and regret. Then came the knock.I didn’t need to check. I knew who it was. I’d known from the first time he knocked three days ago. And every knock since.Harry.This was his third attempt today.“Alpha,” his voice came from the other side of the door. It sounded tired, angry, and worried. “It’s been three damn days. You’ve locked everyone out. The packlink is shut, nobody has heard from you. Open the damn door, or I swear to the Goddess, I’m breaking it down.”He sounded angry, but beneath the bold exterior, I knew he was worried, and he was angry, and if I knew my beta well, he was not bluffing and would follow through if I didn’t respond. What he didn't realize was that I just didn't have the strength to care.I didn’t move. The only reason I hadn’t gone fully mad yet was because I’d muted the world. I had shut them a

  • Alora: My Hybrid Luna   CHAPTER 83: Selene’s Truth

Alora's POVI had almost dozed off, exhausted from school, applying for jobs and attending online interviews when I heard a soft knock on my door. “Shit! Leo" I had forgotten to open the door for him the way I normally do every night in case he wanted to sleep beside me. I pulled the covers away and went to the door. As I opened it, I noticed it was not Leo, but Selene. She stood by my door, looking even more fragile than she had looked when we spoke that morning. My heart squeezed at the sight of her looking so vulnerable. I had never seen that side of her, not until then.I felt a lump in my throat, but I was still mad at her, so I didn't say what I had in mind. ‘What do you want? I asked, crossing my arms against my chest.“Can I come in”? She askedI opened the door wider, and she stepped into my room. She sat down heavily on my bed and looked down.I sat beside her and waited for her to start talking.“I needed you to be calm before we had this conversation”, she began.I ke

  • Alora: My Hybrid Luna   CHAPTER 82: Moment of Truth

Alora’s POVThe next morning, after the unfortunate incident that took place during the birthday of Morgan, I tiptoed out of Phoebe’s room while she was sleeping, and made my way to our apartment. My whole body still ached from the shift last night, and I was wearing Phoebe’s nightwear. It was better than the extra-large joggers Lucien had brought with him when he came to pick me up.Apparently, he had responded to my mindlink, and had been waiting for me. He had also guided me through my shift back to skin like a father, and had looked away while instructing me on where to find clothes to wear after I shifted back to skin.Every time we spend time together, he confuses me the more. At that point, I didn't know if he was for me or against him. Lucien was like a two-edged sword, and one needed to be careful with people like that.I didn't need anyone to advise me about him.I inserted my key into the lock and turned. Immediately I stepped inside, Leo came crashing into me like a littl

  • Alora: My Hybrid Luna   CHAPTER 81: Yours Until Morning

Chloe’s POVI’ve had a crush on Beta Harry since forever. Seeing him lying on the floor broken in that garden was too hard to bear. I knew what had happened. I had watched over the years as Violet had rejected him over and over again. I knew there were mates because Violet had told me about them. The only reason I had not made up my mind to pursue him.Now that I knew he was free of the mate bond, I would do everything in my power to make sure he was mine, and that he would forget her forever, starting at that very minute.I stood on tiptoes and pressed my full lips against his.Harry gritted his teeth.“What do you want”? He growled“I don’t know what I want,” I replied,“Liar,” he groaned, tracing his thumb on my lips and tugging at it till I let go of the lips I was biting. “What do you want?" he repeated against my ears, his teeth, grazing my earlobes and sending shivers down my spine.“I want you” I managed to say weakly as bolts and bolts of electricity raced through my spine
