When Aaron had run off like that, Christian wanted to follow him.

But then Katherine had slowly gotten up, and I was astonished at how quickly she had recovered. A minute ago, she was battered and bruised but now there were no bruises or scrapes anywhere.

"Katherine, how are you feeling?" The doctor helped her up, and I walked over to her side.

"How did you heal so quickly?" Lezelle asked, coming over to my side.

"Wolves heal quickly but I gave her an anecdote that I thought would speed up the process."

A genuine smile was replaced on my lips.

"I never knew there was an anecdote like that out there but we really appreciate it."

Christian stood up and shook his hand.

"Where's my son?"

I reached for a glass of water, and placed it on her lips but she pushed it away. She struggled to get out of bed. Leslie and I pulled her up and out of bed.

"I think you should rest, Luna," Christian said but Katherine shook her head.
