“Gemma, you have been lost since you met Adonis. What did he say to you?” Rowan asked me softly and I forced to look at him.

“It was nothing. He wanted to clear a few things which was useless since I don’t care if he finds out the truth or still believe that I am the guilty.” I replied with a shake of my head.

“Then why you have not been yourself ever since you met him? I am not blind, Gemma. I can see this sadness and restlessness on your face. You can tell me. Remember, we’re friends.” He said softly, his eyes encouraging me to share my deeply buried doubts and confusions.
