"Watch where you're going you blind bitch."
A voice snaps at Jade.
"I'm sorry" Jade apologizes to her, wanting to get this over with, not liking her presence and attitude at all. Something inside Jade kept telling her that she was trouble.
"Sorry?" the same voice snorts, Jade could feel the she-wolf move towards where she stood. She stood so close to Jade that she could smell her flowery scent directly under her nose. Her voice made Jade cringe inwardly, it was high pitched and nasally. Hurting Jade's ears and head equally.
"Listen here you-" she starts to say but gets cut-off by someone else speaking up. Their deep voice making Jade's heart to beat fast in her chest.
"Lucia" The scent of vanilla engulfs Jade as he comes forward to stand beside Lucia and directly infront of her.
"Hey Baby" the girl who stood before Jade named Lucia, almost purrs out. Trying to sound seductive, her demeanor instantly changing upon hearing Adryan's voice. Jade's chest constricts upon hearing her endearment for him. Kira whining in her head.
Jade could feel his intense stare set on her figure, she bows her head looking down towards the floor. She didn't want him to see the look of hurt on her face.
"What are you doing here?" Adryan asks Lucia.
He could feel Lucia's agitation upon him interfering her possible next victim to bully, who just happens to be his mate. Even though he didn't acknowledge his mate that didn't mean that he was going to let this bitch boss his mate around. If she thought she could get away with that, she had another thing coming.
Lucia was nothing but a meaningless fuck to him. She was just a mere company he kept around to stop him from feeling lonely at night.
"I was just coming towards our room baby" she starts saying "untill I stumbled upon this bitch" Lucia sneer out, Jade's breath hitches for a second when she takes in Lucia's words. They were sharing a room together? Was she his girlfriend? She might be the one he was sleeping with, her suspicions were right.
Adryan lowly curses under his breath, why the hell would she say that?! And that too infront of his mate. Adryan could feel Vince clawing at his mental walls, wanting to be in control of his human side as anger fills him.
Now Jade could feel the heat of Lucia's glare on her. She didn't know what she did to make Lucia hate her so much, without even getting to knowing her. She should be the one who should be angry at Lucia for sleeping around with her mate, but she wasn't the only one to blame.
Despite knowing the fact that he was hurting Jade by sleeping with other she wolves, he continued to do so. Her sleepness nights were a result of their actions.
"Let's go" he speaks up after a few moments of his silence, still keeping his eyes trained on Jade.
Adryan wanted to hold Jade so badly but he stopped himself at the last moment.
Jade could feel them move away and a few seconds later she heard the sound of their retreating footsteps as they both climb up the stairs.
"What a bitch" Malia's words snaps Jade out of her thoughts about her mate.
"What?" Jade asks her in confusion.
"Lucia is such a bitch, she likes to bully the ones that seem like a weakling to her. Plus she was lying about going into the Alpha's room. He hates it when anyone enters his room, with or without his knowledge. It's like one of the forbidden places in the pack house." Malia's words confused Jade. Why was his room forbidden to everyone else?.
"What's inside the room?" Jade couldn't help herself but ask Malia the question.
"I don't know honestly, nobody does in the pack. Everyone is afraid of the Alpha so no one ever tried snooping around. Unless they want their head to be served on a silver platter that is." Malia says, slight fear coating her words.
"Who is she?" Jade had been wanting to know about her since the first time she smelt her flowery scent on him.
Malia snorts unlady like making Jade
smile. Seems like someone isn't a fan."Blonde hair, blue eyes. Typical bitchy barbie you read about in all the stories. Like clichey much?!. Anyways she's Alpha's current play thing if you're wondering, but she's in denial and tells everyone that she's his girlfriend and mate which we know she isn't, also mind you the fact that Alpha never had a girlfriend before" Jade felt slight relief at that. "She likes to call herself the Luna of this pack." Malia snorts again, distaste lacing her voice.
"I'd rather jump off a cliff than have her as my luna. She has slept with almost half of the men in this pack. It is only a matter of time before Alpha discards her off like a used box of tissue paper. God I would pay every penny in my pocket to see her face the day that happens." Malia stops ranting.
Jade felt bad for the she wolf, but the feeling of relief overpowered her senses. No matter how nice Jade was, no one liked seeing their mate with another female. Mates are meant to be sacred beings. Two halves made a whole. The moon goddess has blessed every werewolf with a mate, one that she'd hoped would keep them grounded, make them feel loved.
Jade's wolf was a strong one, meaning her want for him was ten folds stronger.

"Jade, hey, wait up!" Someone calling out Jade's name made her halts in her footsteps, confused she turn around towards where she could hear the person running towards her. She had been walking through the hallways planning on talking a walk outside when she'd heard the person calling her name.
The sound of footsteps stops directly infront of her, the air carried a familiar scent with it. A small smile graces her face when she realises who it was.
"Hey Nate" Jade speaks up, Nathaniel, or Nate as he liked to be called had been someone she had been talking frequently around the pack house, and during one of those times was when he had asked her to call him Nate since 'Nathaniel' was too long and plus 'the use of his full name made him feel like he was in trouble' was what he said to her making Jade smile amusedly at his words. they haven't gone out on a date yet though since she hadn't seen him for the past one week.
"Hi" he breaths out, He was bent over with both his hands resting on his knees as he took big gulps of air.
"Damn, I felt like I just ran a marathon" he speaks up after a few moments of him catching his breath. He'd seen her walk around the hallways, luckily he'd got a glimpse of her when she'd walked past one of the widows, outside which he stood with rest of the pack warriors, training. He had some how manage to slip out with out being noticed.
What he missed was the tall figure who stood underneath the tree, under the shadows it provided to conceal his features. Adryan had been watching the warriors train when he'd got a hint of her strawberry scent and after a few minutes he'd seen his Delta slip out sneakily making his teeth to clench in anger. Nate was new, and Adryan didn't want to scare off the young male. But, seems like he would've to if he planned on continuing to pursue his mate.
His lips curls up into a smirk when an idea enters his mind.
Nate had been meaning to talk to her about their date but the past week the Alpha had been pushing everyone to train harder and the security around the pack house has been doubled.
Alpha had been more aggressive during the training, which worried everyone in the pack. None of them knew what it was about, but they knew better than to question Alpha Adryan Romano's orders.
"So? why did you run a marathon for?" Jade asks him with a playful tone making him narrow his eyes at her words playfully even though she couldn't see him.
"Now, I have been meaning to talk about that date we'd both agreed on" Nate's words sounded teasing.
"Oh" she felt herself turning shy all of a sudden after hearing him talk about their date. She'd never really went out on a date with a guy so she didn't know how it all worked.
Nate's smile widens upon seeing Jade blush, she was the most beautiful girl he'd seen around the pack house. He may or might not have asked around and found out that she was single, he'd thought why not shoot his shot before it was too late, right?!.
"Well I wanted to tell you that I'm planning on taking you out tomorrow night at eight. Is that okay with you?" Jade was startled at his words but instantly bobs her head up and down when she had realised that she hadn't given him a reply.
"Well then Darling, be ready. I'll pick you up at eight." He says and suddenly speaks up again remembering something, "Oh, and wear a dress." He places a small kiss on her cheeks, Jade didn't know what she was more shocked about anymore, about his sudden endearment for her or him kissing her on her cheeks which were a flaming red color now. She was too shocked to reply before he had said his byes.

Jade looked down at the necklace that she had thought she lost, but there it was. The same crescent moon-shaped necklace with a circular pearl in the middle. The same one Adryan had gifted her. Next, she turned to open the envelope, which was a small rectangular. When she took out the note, there wasn't much, just a line. After reading it, Jade didn't know what to feel. 'I'm sorry for everything' ~DariusWhen Jade read Darius's note, she was honestly conflicted. She didn't know what she expected it to be. Maybe an explanation about why he did what he did. maybe the words he said we enough. Some thinks are left unsaid. Yet there was relief, relief that everything was over. Now she could live peacefully without the fear of any more attack on the pack and loss of life due to the war.Everyone in the pack was overjoyed to hear that the war wasn't going to happen. That they could return back to their lives after more than an year of being on the edge.———
*2 months after Jade's return*Two months passed since Jade had returned to the pack. Everyone in the pack sighed with relief upon her arrival, because for the past year, their Alpha was like a walking time bomb, and everyone including the Beta Brian was afraid that they would say something wrong and cause the Alpha to explode and go on a rampage.Jade also learnt that it was Adeena who had helped Darius with the kidnapping, and when Adryan found out, he almost killed her but elders in the pack stopped him. Instead, Adeena was thrown out of the pack. Exiled and doomed to survive with rogues.Violet also let Jade know that looking after Adonis was the only reason Adryan survived. She couldn't imagine the inner battle his lycan was having after losing their mate for over a year. Violet had hugged Jade tightly the moment she entered the pack house, swearing to never leave her side. Jaade couldn't conceal her tears when she saw her baby, Adonis's eyes filled the moment he saw his mother,
Memories kept coming back to her like the tide in an ocean. When she tried to pull back they hit back stronger. Until she regained her lost memories. And everything hit her all at once. Her past, her mate, her son...she has a son, whom she hadn't seen for over a year. Her sense of loss was so powerful, that it felt hard to breathe. Looking at Darius, knowing what he had done, and taken away from, she didn't know what she felt anymore.———In the dead of night, as darkness covered everything, a figure was seen walking with purpose. Jade kept her footsteps light as she walked towards the border of the territory. As she reached the border, she remembered what Darius had shown her before. The border was bound with immense magic making it impossible for one to cross the border, as Jade reached her hand towards where she thought the boundary was, her hands felt empty air. It felt as if the magic bound had completely disappeared, which shocked her as she didn't expect things to be so simpl
"Darius" A voice roared, "You better come back here boy". A ten-year-old boy slammed a door open, he looked like he was running away from something, although his leg was injured, and he was unsteady on the right side of his leg due to the pain. He had no wolf, he wasn't like the average werewolf off springs who would be able to heal despite not being of age where they could shift.Struggling as he ran, not stopping at all, fearing that the person would catch up to him and he would have to go through something worse. All of a sudden he feels himself bump into someone and falls to the ground, wincing in pain."Darius" a soft voice calls out his name in confusion, looking up from the ground, his eyes meet a pair of warm ocean-blue eyes filled with worry. Her eyes took in his injured body, from his hands that had fresh wounds and slash markings, to his wrists that looked like he was tied down to something tightly, with his clothes tattered and barely hanging on by the end. 1 year laterHead tilted toward the sky with her eyes closed, Jade feels the cool wind blow around her, brushing her skin ever so softly, as the first drop of rain drops, slowly, with one or two drops turning to a constant rhythmic dance as the rain gets heavier. Suddenly she didn't feel the raindrops on her skin anymore, opening her eyes, she was met with an umbrella above her head, and turned to the side to find a pair of violet-coloured eyes already staring back at her. A smile graces her face, wet hair strands sticking to her face. With his free hand, Darius tries to pull her under the shelter of the umbrella completely, only for Jade to knock the umbrella out of his hands completely, causing him to get drenched in the heavy rain as well.Darius pulls Jade closer to his body, his hands cupping her small face, bringing her face closer to his face, Jade closes her eyes anticipating him to kiss her when she feels his lips place a soft kiss on her forehead. Tingles spread throughout h
Flashback (5 years ago)Jade's eyes felt like someone had clued them together, her head was pounding as she sat up, and she could smell the burnt smell of flesh surrounding her, with people screaming around her, tears slid down her cheeks, she was thankful for the first time in her life for being blind, because she knew that she wouldn't be able to stomach the view around her. Death loomed in the air.Trying to stand up on her shaky legs, she stumbles but she doesn't fall to the ground like she expected herself to instead she feels someone's touch on her body, their cold hands supporting her body, causing her body to tense up. "Who are-e you?" She asks, her voice stuttering with fear. Her question is met with silence, and the next instant she's picked up bridal style, she could tell that it was a man as she felt one side of her body pressed onto their hard chest. She feels the person carefully navigate through the aftermath of the fire. After a few moments, the person stops walking,
