View MoreThe sound of her feets pounding against the wet forest floor resonates around the forest as she runs as fast as her legs could carry her, her bare feets sticks to the wet and damp ground, an aftermath of the heavy rain Forks recieves throughout the year.
She clearly had no idea where she was headed, her sense of direction right now was purely dependent on which direction the wind blowed and her wolf senses. She has been running aimlessly for the past hour.
Tears smear down her face as she thinks about her pack.
Terror fills her body as she feels them getting closer and she wills herself to push her legs further so that she could run faster, her body is filled up with scratches and cuts from cutting herself while colliding on the trees and branches as her vision is of no help to her.
She could feel them breathing heavily as it hits the back of her shoulder for a second. but she doesn't stop running. Her lungs burned due to the effort of pushing herself beyond her limit.
She could feel the vibrations of their growls as annoyance took over their senses making her run faster, her feets ached and bled as they came in contact with sticks and hard rocks but at the moment she could care less.
She didn't know how she could still keep running, she felt something inside herself pushing her. Maybe it might be the fear of death that was keeping her alive ironically.
She blindly followed the wind as she felt them get closer. she moves towards the side just in time for one of the rogues to swipe a claw at her side and leave a big open wound, it stings instantly and tears fill her eyes immediately, but her steps doesn't falter.
The scent of blood overpowers, her blood.
She was so caught up in saving herself that she didn't feel herself crossing the pack territory line.
She runs a few more miles and stops immediately, when she doesn't hear their pounding footsteps behind her, her brows furrowed in confusion. that seemed odd to her, making her wonder why they suddenly stopped chasing her.
She sticks her nose up and tries to smell the air for any possible threat, but the only thing that she could smell was the scent of rain and damp mud.
But the thing that had her stopping in her tracks was the power that was being excluded from where she stood and it doesn't takes a genius to know that she crossed the pack grounds.
She gulps in fear, Pack wolves don't take gently to rogues or lone wolves trespassing into theirs, it's a crime and most of the packs serve harsh punishments like death.
She feared one pack in particular, The Blood Moon Pack.
The most feared pack in the world.
She may be a shy and socially awkward person but that doesn't mean she's blind to things going around her, even though she was physically blind. The rumours has it that the Red Moon Pack loathes rogues with a burning passion. It's said that they either instantly kill them on spot or torture them with wolfsbane and silver.
Their pack members are said to be all well trained warriors from the young age of eight, no matter the gender. They give equal importance to both the male and female wolves. Which she respected them for.
A chill runs down her spine when she thinks about their Alpha.
Alpha Adryan Romani. That was his name, atleast that's what the rumours say.
No one has seen him and the few that have lived to tell the tales about him are either too scared to speak or have gone crazy. It's said that he's the worst of them all.
He's feared by all the other Alpha's in the country as their power is nothing compared to his, she remembered once hearing a rumour that he alone could take out a hundred werewolves, and that's saying something.
Werewolves are strong creatures, who have a good sense of smell, taste and hearing. And fighting one off isn't easy.
He's known for his cruel and vicious ways, they say he's heartless.
Rumours also say that he killed his own mate, and that the rogues killed his parents and it goes on and on... she mostly doesn't believe in these rumours because she's not someone who judges a person based on the silly rumours that goes around about them.
Yet thinking about him sends a weird sensation throughout her body.
Her thoughts are cut off when she hears a vicious growl, which echoes through out the dead and cold forest.
She's about to take off running again when she feels the presence of other wolves, her instinct tells her that there might be about five of them.
Her fear comes back in full force knowing that there's no way she can fight them without her revealing her secret to the whole world, finding no way out she felt defeated. her breath coming out of her lips in shallow puffs of air.
All of them growl at her causing her to whimper in fear.
She could hear the sound of someone shifting and some ruffling of clothes, letting her know someone has shifted into their human form.
"What are you doing on our territory rogue?"A male voice bits out in anger and she feels herself flinching backwards. He excludes power, which means he's of higher rank.
Beta, a voice echoes in her head and she knows it belongs to her wolf, Kira.
But her eyes widen like saucers when she hears him say territory. She had crossed a pack territory and now she's going to get killed, how stupid can she be.
The same voice growls out in obvious anger making her realise that she hasn't answered his previous question yet.
Brian, the Beta of the Blood Moon pack was scouring the territory for rogues when he caught her scent.
Upon arriving he found a short light red haired she-wolf, making him confused about what she was doing in their territory but he felt threatened nonetheless.
"Ter-r-itory? W-what pack is th-is" she stutters out with a squeak, fear coating her words.
This doens't seems to sit well with the male as he growls and she shrinks back in fear. His next words are like a blow to her mind.
"The Blood Moon Pack" and all the colour leaves her face.
Jade looked down at the necklace that she had thought she lost, but there it was. The same crescent moon-shaped necklace with a circular pearl in the middle. The same one Adryan had gifted her. Next, she turned to open the envelope, which was a small rectangular. When she took out the note, there wasn't much, just a line. After reading it, Jade didn't know what to feel. 'I'm sorry for everything' ~DariusWhen Jade read Darius's note, she was honestly conflicted. She didn't know what she expected it to be. Maybe an explanation about why he did what he did. maybe the words he said we enough. Some thinks are left unsaid. Yet there was relief, relief that everything was over. Now she could live peacefully without the fear of any more attack on the pack and loss of life due to the war.Everyone in the pack was overjoyed to hear that the war wasn't going to happen. That they could return back to their lives after more than an year of being on the edge.———
*2 months after Jade's return*Two months passed since Jade had returned to the pack. Everyone in the pack sighed with relief upon her arrival, because for the past year, their Alpha was like a walking time bomb, and everyone including the Beta Brian was afraid that they would say something wrong and cause the Alpha to explode and go on a rampage.Jade also learnt that it was Adeena who had helped Darius with the kidnapping, and when Adryan found out, he almost killed her but elders in the pack stopped him. Instead, Adeena was thrown out of the pack. Exiled and doomed to survive with rogues.Violet also let Jade know that looking after Adonis was the only reason Adryan survived. She couldn't imagine the inner battle his lycan was having after losing their mate for over a year. Violet had hugged Jade tightly the moment she entered the pack house, swearing to never leave her side. Jaade couldn't conceal her tears when she saw her baby, Adonis's eyes filled the moment he saw his mother,
Memories kept coming back to her like the tide in an ocean. When she tried to pull back they hit back stronger. Until she regained her lost memories. And everything hit her all at once. Her past, her mate, her son...she has a son, whom she hadn't seen for over a year. Her sense of loss was so powerful, that it felt hard to breathe. Looking at Darius, knowing what he had done, and taken away from, she didn't know what she felt anymore.———In the dead of night, as darkness covered everything, a figure was seen walking with purpose. Jade kept her footsteps light as she walked towards the border of the territory. As she reached the border, she remembered what Darius had shown her before. The border was bound with immense magic making it impossible for one to cross the border, as Jade reached her hand towards where she thought the boundary was, her hands felt empty air. It felt as if the magic bound had completely disappeared, which shocked her as she didn't expect things to be so simpl
"Darius" A voice roared, "You better come back here boy". A ten-year-old boy slammed a door open, he looked like he was running away from something, although his leg was injured, and he was unsteady on the right side of his leg due to the pain. He had no wolf, he wasn't like the average werewolf off springs who would be able to heal despite not being of age where they could shift.Struggling as he ran, not stopping at all, fearing that the person would catch up to him and he would have to go through something worse. All of a sudden he feels himself bump into someone and falls to the ground, wincing in pain."Darius" a soft voice calls out his name in confusion, looking up from the ground, his eyes meet a pair of warm ocean-blue eyes filled with worry. Her eyes took in his injured body, from his hands that had fresh wounds and slash markings, to his wrists that looked like he was tied down to something tightly, with his clothes tattered and barely hanging on by the end. 1 year laterHead tilted toward the sky with her eyes closed, Jade feels the cool wind blow around her, brushing her skin ever so softly, as the first drop of rain drops, slowly, with one or two drops turning to a constant rhythmic dance as the rain gets heavier. Suddenly she didn't feel the raindrops on her skin anymore, opening her eyes, she was met with an umbrella above her head, and turned to the side to find a pair of violet-coloured eyes already staring back at her. A smile graces her face, wet hair strands sticking to her face. With his free hand, Darius tries to pull her under the shelter of the umbrella completely, only for Jade to knock the umbrella out of his hands completely, causing him to get drenched in the heavy rain as well.Darius pulls Jade closer to his body, his hands cupping her small face, bringing her face closer to his face, Jade closes her eyes anticipating him to kiss her when she feels his lips place a soft kiss on her forehead. Tingles spread throughout h
Flashback (5 years ago)Jade's eyes felt like someone had clued them together, her head was pounding as she sat up, and she could smell the burnt smell of flesh surrounding her, with people screaming around her, tears slid down her cheeks, she was thankful for the first time in her life for being blind, because she knew that she wouldn't be able to stomach the view around her. Death loomed in the air.Trying to stand up on her shaky legs, she stumbles but she doesn't fall to the ground like she expected herself to instead she feels someone's touch on her body, their cold hands supporting her body, causing her body to tense up. "Who are-e you?" She asks, her voice stuttering with fear. Her question is met with silence, and the next instant she's picked up bridal style, she could tell that it was a man as she felt one side of her body pressed onto their hard chest. She feels the person carefully navigate through the aftermath of the fire. After a few moments, the person stops walking,
