Chapter seventy-one

ELEANOR'S POV

Immediately I heard a knock on the door a few seconds after the time Dennis promised to come get me, I quickly dashed to get the door certain it would be him but instead I saw Arthur standing before me. I halted abruptly in my words as my excitement died evaporated at once.

My teeth grinded so hard and my fist clenched but I held it in. Heaven knows, I might really not be able to hold it all in for longer and they were kind to send Dennis coming soon after as I strained my neck and anticipated him.

I saw Dennis coming towards us. Relieved, I sped past him and went to Dennis.

And when Dennis tried to get a permission from him, I knew I had to step in.

"Ah, Dennis we don't have to worry about Arthur. I mean, he is actually quite busy, with the pack and of course…Samantha Jo. He won't even notice we are gone for just a little while…" I said and flashed him a smile. A smile that was supposed to shoot him down if only my eyes had daggers in them.
