12. Job Hunting

Jessy’s POV:

My alarm ringing at the other end of the room made me wonder why I still listened to these life coaches I watched on the media.

“Put your alarm across the room when you go to bed, so when it rings in the morning you have no choice but to get up instead of just hitting the snooze button.” One had said last night.

And it had made sense, it had made a lot of sense, but it still wasn’t enough to explain the anger I currently felt at actually trying it. I groaned before moving off my bed to turn the damn thing off. It had been one week of living in this pack and I was happy to say that I was settling in pretty fine. It was less overwhelming and I wasn’t as lonely as I feared I would have been.

While Lila was barely around, she tried as best as she could to keep me company and take me out when she was around, and then Stephan. Goddess, he was wonderful.
