15. Worrying

Jessy’s POV:

The ride home was quiet and the only sounds that I could hear were the roaring of Stephan’s engine in my ears along with the breeze that seemed to fight it although it wasn’t awkward and I tried my best to hide my anxiety and fear I knew that it was only a matter of time before it completely took over. I held onto him tighter, burying my face in his shirt and taking subtle sniffs. His scent was fresh, not overwhelming like Simon’s had become or powerful like my father's. I had been around different men and different scents all my life and I could say that Stephan’s stood out for not having that weird tinge that I could hardly identify.

“We’re here,” Stephan announced just as the car pulled to a stop in front of my house.
