18. Dinner Afterwards

Finally, the day ended and I stretched out, feeling my bone crack and I held back a moan. I might be passionate about working here but at the end of the day, I always get tired, tired to even take myself outside work hours.

The twins were nowhere to be found when I searched for them, I had really wanted to find out more about what they were talking about because they had left me to wander in the dark and I hate it. I picked up my bag finally, accepting defeat that I wouldn’t be seeing the twins today. Maybe tomorrow or any other day.

“Enjoy the rest of the day.” I told my colleague that is to work night duty and I stepped out of the café.

The cold dusty wind fell on my face, making me squirm my eyes because the sand had entered. I swallowed hard, about to take another step when a car stopped in front of me, making me stop in track. I am not sure if I do recognize the car or anything about it so I walked passed it, until I heard my name being called and I stopped in track.
