The wolf was Lydia my wolf, why is she sad and upset?

"You killed him, you finally killed him," Lydia shouted at me with her voice filled with pain.

"I had to; that was what father wanted me to do."

"At the detriment of our happiness, you just killed our mate."

"I am sorry but you know how much he hated me, he would never mate us no matter what."

"No! He did not hate us, he cared for you but your father's greed and hatred blinded you from seeing the genuine person you had."

"Lydia is okay, I promised to mend my wrong," I touched her but she hit it away.

"Do not touch me. I cursed the day we were born." Lydia cursed.

"No!!!" Shouted waking up from sleep. My friends were staring strangely at me as if I am a lunatic but I was careless about them as I did not understand what is happening.
