Sienna:
I walked through the garden toward the Lycan that was to be my husband.
My father, who had his arm looped with my own, looked at me, reminding me of the importance of this. My heart aching with each step that I took as I remembered what he had done to my mother twenty years ago when I was barely five. And looking at his ‘mate’, or as I called her, the scandal that he chose to be with, I had to fight back trying to run away, knowing the consequences that would happen if I tried.
I nodded, not saying a word, knowing that the wolves’ fate lay in the hands of this marriage, and approaching him, I had to fight back the low growl that threatened to escape my chest as my wolf sensed his danger. It was one stronger and scarier than the one that I have lived through growing up in the place that I should have called home.
The King of Lycans, and the Capo dei Capi, Alpha Arturo de’ Medici, the man who was to be my husband.
He extended his hand to me, and taking his, I took a step forward and stood on the podium, keeping in mind that this was going to be done for the benefit of both species. The wolves, and the Lycans.
The elder, who was to wed us both, stood beside us. He nodded at us to take a seat on the chairs that were set for us in front of the wooden desk that was placed.
This wedding was an agreement, and the two of us knew that, and the worst part about it was the fact that it was going to be ‘well guarded’ with rules that ensured that neither one of us broke the deal. And that meant that we had to follow the protocol that the elders of both species set for us.
“For a long period of time, both wolf species, the Lycans and wolves have been going through endless wars. And that is why we are gathered here today to ensure that these wars find their end.” He said, looking at the Alpha and I. Alpha Arturo looked at me, his brown eyes meeting my silver-blue ones, and I nodded in respect, knowing not to cross my limits with an Alpha who could kill me in less than a second. He returned the nod before turning to the guests who were eying us carefully, clearly worried about what was to come. “Both Alpha Arturo de’ Medici and heir Alpha Sienna Moretti will marry to ensure the peace. The two wolves have gathered here today to show you that a peace can be formed, and a marriage tie would only ensure that. With both being the highest of their ranking families, we saw it fit to join the two.”
“Throughout our histories, marriages were rarely ever available. But seeing as this was a case where we all knew we needed one, we have decided that it is most likely to do so. Now, to start our wedding ceremony, I will first ask the bride and groom whether or not they object to this marriage.” He said, looking at the two of us. We both knew that the question was simply out of protocol, the elders knew that we were against this, especially since we were not even asked our opinions when it was decided. They had agreed that it was the best thing to be done, and we were both forced to comply, simple as that.
Alpha Arturo looked at me, and I smiled. My face had no veil, seeing as I knew that weddings were not in our wolf cultures. We would usually mate, and a mating bond was always stronger than that agreement that we signed on a wedding paper.
“We have no objection.” Alpha Arturo said, looking at him through the corner of his eye. His voice was deep, husky, and hoarse. His power radiated by just seeing his presence, and I could tell that one growl from him would shut a whole room up with no fights or arguments.
“And our guests, do any of you have an objection? Speak now or choose to stay silent until the end of time.” He said, looking at everyone. We both knew that no one would speak. First, they knew that they would be beheaded for simply trying to object to an Alpha’s wedding, second, he was a Lycan, and third, it was the elders who decided on this. Objecting to it had a death penalty by default.
“Do you, Heir Alpha, Sienna Moretti, take Alpha Arturo de’ Medici as your husband and Alpha?” He asked, looking at me. I stayed quiet for a few seconds, and looking at my father, he frowned, thinking that I would be going against him. But I wouldn’t, I was not raised to go against my family nor was I a person who wanted to put them in danger.
“I do.” I said, my tone calm, and controlled, void of all emotions despite the thousands that ran through me. My wolf, who was now to submit to a Lycan, shut herself back, waiting for the fate that waited for her.
“And do you, Alpha Arturo de’ Medici, take Heir Alpha, Sienna Moretti, as your wife, and Luna?” Alpha Arturo looked at me for a few seconds before nodding, clenching his fists as he did, making my heart drop.
“I do.” He said coldly. I could tell that he was not happy, and the Alpha did not even bother hiding it; however, I was not going to do anything about it, not now, especially not when we were in front of guests who were waiting for the outcome of this.
“I now pronounce you husband and wife.” He said calmly. “You may proceed to share your wine, and dessert. Then we will proceed to the first dance.”
Arturo:I wrapped my arm around Sienna’s waist, pulling her to my chest as the two of us danced. Knowing that we were the center of attention, the two of us tried to focus on what we ‘learned’ in the dance classes they had us taking a week before the wedding. The two of us swayed to the music, while her arm was wrapped around my neck, and her other held my hand as if her life depended on it. Regardless of her grip, I couldn't miss her racing heart and shaking hand as she held mine as if frightened.“Put a smile on at least, people are watching us.” I said, catching her attention as she looked down at my chest. I knew that she was careful not to step on my foot, but looking up at me, she raised an eyebrow.“I do believe that they are all aware that the two of us are nowhere near being lovers, why have to fake it?” She asked as I twirled her before pulling her closer to my chest. I wrapped my arms around her, her back was to my chest, and resting my chin on her shoulder, I kissed her c
Sienna:I was about to respond when the dressing room’s door was knocked, breaking our conversation.Arturo frowned and cursed under his breath before taking a step back, letting me go in the process. He wrapped his hand around my fist, pulling me away from the door before opening it, revealing his mother who frowned in confusion when she saw the two of us inside. She crossed her arms over her chest, a small smile creeping to her lips as she probably thought that the two of us were getting intimate in the dressing room.“The plane leaves in an hour and a half and we need to hit the road to get to the airport. I think whatever it is that you were doing can wait until you are back home, how about it?” She asked, smiling at the two of us. Arturo cursed under his breath and walked out of the room, slamming the door shut, making me jump in surprise. My heart raced against my ribcage, and I couldn’t help but notice that my hands shook as I took a deep breath, trying to calm myself. I walked
Arturo: I watched as Sienna sat on her chair beside the window. Her heart raced as she sat, clearly anxious. The family was either asleep, or busying themselves with whatever they had to tend to. My parents were on a different plane for security reasons, each one of us took their own planes. Sienna and I haven’t said a word to one another since what happened at the wedding, and it didn’t take me long to realize that she was avoiding any interaction with me to begin with. And though even mom noticed on the runway that we weren’t walking, especially when she believed that we were growing ‘intimate’, she sensed that something might have happened. But thankfully, choosing to put whatever assumptions she had in mind, she didn’t say a word. I got up from my seat. The plane was already halfway back to New York, and it wouldn’t be long until we were home, at the Estate, expected to fulfill our duties as Alpha and Luna toward one another. The ceremony, that she as a wolf expected, was not
Sienna:My heart raced as we arrived at the Estate, or in other words, the pack’s grounds. The fear and nervousness of what was to come started eating me, and though I could tell that Alpha Arturo was trying to calm me down, somehow at least, I couldn’t help but feel myself grow more anxious with each passing minute. The car came to a stop in front of the front door, and opening his door, the driver rushed to my side, opening the door for me as a bodyguard opened the door for the Alpha. Arturo walked toward me and nodded in assurance. The fact that I would be the only wolf among a pack of Lycans scared the life out of me. These people could easily kill me alive, and just thinking about that made my heart drop to my stomach as I took a step forward. “No one is going to hurt you, Sienna.” Alpha Arturo assured, his voice softer than it had been, even on the plane when he offered me a drink. I had to admit, at first, I hesitated, thinking that he might end up killing me, but not smelli
Arturo: I kissed Sienna back, allowing her to take control of the kiss despite how hesitant she was. Her heart raced, and I could tell that she was more nervous than she was letting out. I wrapped my arms around her, pulling her closer to me as I deepened the kiss before lowering my hands down toward her waist, pulling her closer as I leaned in, deepening the kiss. I pushed her toward the bed, laying her on top of it, watching as she hesitated before I nodded at her, wanting her to lay on the pillow. I took my shirt off before walking toward her, a predator walking to his prey, letting her know who was dominant. I got on top of her, hovering her body as I rested my arms either side of her head, and leaning in, I connected my lips with hers in a gentle kiss. Sienna’s arms wrapped around my neck, pulling me down as she deepened the kiss, and lowering my hands down on her body, gently brushing my fingers over her skin as I touched her thigh. Her cheeks reddened as I pulled away to
Sienna:I whimpered when I woke up, feeling sore.I tried sitting up, but I would be lying if I said that I could feel my legs, because I couldn’t.“Easy.” I heard Arturo’s voice as he walked out of the bathroom. His hair was wet, and a white towel hung over his waist as he approached me. He wrapped his arm around me, helping me sit up, and I couldn’t help but hiss in pain.“Are you okay?” Arturo asked and I nodded.“Just a little sore, I guess. It should die down in a bit, and a warm shower can help." I said, avoiding his eyes. Noticing that I was looking at the mark on his neck, I didn’t even know how I had it in me to bite him to mark him as mine, but it seems like I did it right. My wolf purred when he cupped my cheek, making me look up at him, and he smiled, running his finger over my jawline. “How about I help you to the bathroom, you can freshen up?” Then the two of us can go out for breakfast?” He suggested, his gentle tone taking me by surprise. I had to fight back frowning
Arturo: “Why is the whole place empty?” Sienna asked, frowning when she saw the dim lights from outside. “Are you sure that it is open?" "It is open, Sienna.” I said, getting out of the car. I walked to her side and opened the door for her watching as she smiled, silently thanking me. I simply nodded in response. “The place has no cars parked, and literally no one inside.” Sienna said, pointing at the place, making me chuckle. “Yes, because the whole place is for us for the day. This would give the two of us a little more privacy, and considering that we are both wolves, getting the privacy of not having humans around is a lot more suitable for the two of us, don’t you think?” I asked, making her eyes widen in surprise. I smiled at her and wrapped my arm around her waist. I guided her toward the restaurant where the waiters and manager had already opened the door for us. She smiled when she saw us walking inside, and I nodded at her to guide us toward our table. She looked at the
Sienna: “Where are we going now?” I asked, shaking my head in question at Arturo who has been driving for the past hour. The two of us have spent most of the day at the restaurant, mostly because we found ourselves talking about so many random things that we didn’t notice the time running, and it wasn’t until he got a phone call that we realized that it was a while past noon. “I got a small meeting call and invitation that the two of us would need to attend. I hope you don’t mind, it would be at another restaurant.” He said, glancing at me before going back to focusing on the road. “I don’t look presentable for such a meeting. Please don’t get me wrong, but I don’t want to embarrass you between your colleagues.” I said, blushing as I looked down at my lap. Having told me that we were not going anywhere extravagant, especially since it was morning, I simply put on a white shirt and jeans, but this was not something that I expected. “Don’t worry, even I am not ready for such a meet
