LOGINTHREE YEARS LATER…
Sienna’s POV
My wolf chuffed the moment we heard Eve honking her car horn from outside. She had already arrived, whereas I was still trying to put on some makeup. I glanced at the wall clock, and seeing the time, I dropped everything, rubbed my palm on my well-packed hair and exited the house.
I wouldn't be so stupid as to lose a job because of makeup that would lead me nowhere.
She waved her hand at me while I hurried closer. I pulled the car door open and stepped in, then put on the seatbelt. “I didn't know you would be here this morning, girl. Aren't you going to your office?” I asked her, and she only smiled and started the car. “What's funny? Did you find any clues about the man?” I asked, and she pulled a long face while shaking her head.
Maybe I could just celebrate three years of searching for my saviour and yet to find him.
“What business do you even have with that man? I'm certain he isn't as important as the interview you're heading for today, because I have to be late to work just so you can get yours.” Eve pulled my attention as she hit the accelerator pedal and sped off the compound. She was a beta and the only friend I had gotten since I came into this pack three months ago. “I wonder who the fuck he is that's making him so uneasy to find,” she added and let out a hiss.
It was a hassle for her because she had a hacking company and also had bounty hunters who could help find the man, but she hadn't succeeded. She decided to help me with it since we met, and nothing positive had been heard.
Three years ago, while I was dying in the woods, a man came to my help, but took me to the human land, where I was admitted to the hospital. Apparently, I couldn't feel my wolf when I woke up, and I thought that was the reason he brought me to the human land, thinking I was a human.
He stayed with me for days, taking care of me, until I got the strength to serve myself. He dropped behind a black unlimited credit card to me, then left and never returned again. I waited for him until the day I was discharged, yet he did not return.
Thankfully, to him, I survived, and so was my wolf, although we happened to now be so weak and mistaken as an omega instead of an alpha. I was so desperate to find him, not just to thank him for what he did for me, but because I had fallen for him, and had to let him know we were mates and maybe he didn't know about it. He didn't even ask my name or care to know anything about me, and the more I searched for him, the more I got stressed.
I stayed in the human land for over two years, surviving on the unlimited card he gave me, although I still worked to make a living. When I got tired of hiding my wolf abilities, I decided to leave since he wasn't in Human Land. So, I entered the nearest pack, the River Hunters pack, as a twenty-four-year-old alpha princess turned omega, hoping that I would find him there too.
It was so difficult to tell if he was a human or not, since, while in the hospital, I couldn't use my wolf abilities. And when I met Eve, I showed her the art drawing I made to help in finding him, but two months had already elapsed, and there was no positive news about it.
Now living as Sienna Adrain, instead of Ivy Adrian, I also had to hide my past, and have my identity changed too, but it was going to cost a lot of money, so I needed to work and not use the card for that purpose. But it hurt that I had been searching for my second chance mate who saved me for three years now and never got a clue about him. In fact, I was beginning to lose hope in finding him, so I could just focus on hiding my identity very well, because once it got out that I happened to survive the penalty bestowed on me three years ago, I would be executed for real this time, maybe by hanging.
“You're not saying anything, Sienna.” Eve tapped my cheek and diverted to the left. “Do you love this man that you're looking for? Why are you so mean to find him? Is he your family that you never told me about?”
I spared her a glance and cleared my throat, “I remember telling you that I grew up in a human orphanage, right?”
“But I don't believe it,” she responded and pouted.
Who cares if she believed it or not?
“Then there's nothing much to say, then.” I chuckled and winked at her as she glanced at me. “I just need to pass this interview, so I can take you out for a meal with my first salary.”
She laughed out loud and hit the car brake. “I can't wait to eat rice porridge with you in those local restaurants. Now you gotta hop in while I get to work,” she gestured, looking so happy. “I hope to find this man for you before the month runs out.”
I nodded and gave her a thumbs up, “See you back at home…”
We waved each other goodbye, and I alighted from the car and entered the company, Wonder Craft Company, one of the famous industrial companies in this pack. I entered the waiting room and went straight to the front desk lady, then showed her the interview invitation I got via mail on my phone. “I am Sienna Adrian,” I added, and she nodded, then began checking to confirm.
She raised her face seconds later and said, “Your interview is booked with the CEO. Please use the elevator to the last floor,” she directed, and I bowed slightly before taking my right towards the elevator.
As she said, I pressed to be dropped on the last floor. And when the elevator stopped, I walked straight, glancing at the doors until I saw the office of the CEO. I pressed the doorbell, and the door opened, so I walked in and met a man facing the window.
“Greetings, sir, I am Sienna Adrian, here for the interview.” I elaborated, clutching my file before me and hoping to get this job this time. I had lost about five jobs because of my level of education and wolf rank, and I would be so disappointed if I missed this, too.
After a few minutes of standing and waiting for the man to speak, he swung his chair around and placed his arms on the desk.
My brows furrowed when I came to see who he was, but I didn't want to believe it.
‘Are we seeing things, Enna? I can feel the bond.’ my wolf purred in my head, and I found myself stepping backwards.
I tried not to believe it, but with the smiles across the man's face and how he stood up as well, I realized that he recalled who I was. ‘This should not be a dream.’ I said to my wolf, and she wagged her tail. ‘I would hate it to be my imagination.’
“You grew so fast in three years. How have you been?” the man asked, wearing a kind smile and biting his lower lip, which made me take a deep gulp.
I couldn't tell Eve that I fell in love with this man at first sight, because I was scared of being made fun of. It wasn't the matebond, but the feeling was natural. I had wet dreams because of him, imagined him all over me all the time, that I had to fingerfuck myself, moaning and picturing him watching me.
At some point, I thought I was going crazy, but no matter how much I tried to move on, I couldn't.
“Come take a seat,” he gestured forward, pointing at the seat before him. “Who would believe you're the applicant?”
I struggled to put myself together, and then I walked towards his desk and grabbed the seat opposite him. I dropped the file on his desk and lowered my face, “Please interview me properly. We can talk about the past later.” I was so flustered and wasn't sure if he could see it or not.
He chuckled and grabbed my file, “I hope you aren't planning to reject me?”
Reject him?
I raised my face and looked at him intently, “Did you know we were mates, and you left that way?”
“Sir, your son is here to see you,” came a lady's voice from the door.
That instant, his face dropped, and he looked straight at the door, “Silas is here to see me? What for?”
But the door creaked, and a man's voice rang out behind me that I had to flinch at first. He walked closer, growling at his father. “Why did you have to break up with Andrea? I was looking forward to having a step-mother this time.”
That voice…
My wolf stirred in me, and I looked up to see the man's flushed angry face.
That can't be! He was Alpha Silas that I knew three years ago, the mate who rejected me.
Sienna's POVI couldn't come up with any reason I couldn't be his fiancée, and he insisted it was his only wish I should grant if I didn't want to spend the rest of my life with him. The thought of it was already deteriorating, but I was already tired and didn't know how to oppose him again. He offered me my employment letter, but still refused to take back his card, so I left his office. It's a pity I got a mate who was every woman's dream, but I had to decide to get rid of my feelings towards him because of my past. These three months, he insists I would be his possession, was already enough for his son or my family to find out about me and put me down, and he would still not save my ass as his son did.So, was it really worth it? Would I risk my life just for some feelings? When I walked out of the company’s building, my eyes went straight to the garage, and I happened to lock eyes with Silas. I subdued my nervousness, held my shoulders high while walking down towards the gate. At
Sienna's POVHow come my mate is my ex’s Dad? They didn't even have any resemblance, and upon hearing of my mate breaking up with his girlfriend, it only meant that he didn't have a wife. Was I dreaming or what? I couldn't come to comprehend it, and that made me become lost in thought, until someone tapped me on my shoulder.I shuddered and turned to my mate, and he wore that smile as though everything was settled, but beside me still stood Silas.“What did you just say, Dad? That she's your fiancée?” Silas growled and then leaned lower to look at my face. He looked me deep in the eyes until I begged the moon goddess that he finds out nothing. What would be my fate if he happened to find a reason to insist that I was Ivy? No one needed to know my real identity, or I would be dead meat; even my mate would reject me instantly. “How could you look like her this much? She's an alpha and not an omega, or I would have no reason to say you aren't her,” he muttered to my face before standing

“By the power bestowed on me by the late alpha king, I sentence you to death by poisoning with a Black Howl Concoction, and then be banished to die outside the pack.”My chest dropped. I placed my palms on the floor, unable to look up to the Minister of Justice who had imposed a penalty on me. I had tried my best to explain to them how I wasn't responsible for this offence, but no one listened.I didn't kill my father. I didn't do it.Why would I poison the only man who'd loved me effortlessly since childhood? They called me a bad omen for living and my mum passing on after I was delivered, but my father still believed that I wasn't responsible for that and treated me with kindness. So why should I have done that? Now, they also believed it was my bad omen that pushed me into poisoning the man I always prayed to the moon goddess so that he would get well.“Take her out!” came the commanding voice of the minister, and I was dragged up by my two arms and out of the throne room.
