PRESENT…

My savior was a werewolf like me, yes. Regardless, he was still a stranger. Although the man let me wear his shirt that hung down to my knees, the kindness was odd for me—even suspicious!

Why would this guy help someone like me—not unless he needed something in return? Hell, I didn’t like losing trust in everyone. Blame this on the shitty pack of those shitty people who left me nothing but a shattered heart and soul before casting me away!

The next thing I knew, we were walking towards a building. Nestled in the middle of the woodland, it seemed to grow even bigger and bigger as we got near.

“Are they aching?” My rugged hero glanced down at my bare feet. Maybe he figured they were swollen from a long walk, offering to carry me in his arms when we got out of the forest. Regardless, I refused.

A few minutes later, we were standing in the middle of the grand lobby. From my spot, I could see everything the house offered, leaving me breathless in awe. Across the upstairs gallery ran a diamond-designed iron railing. On both sides of the house were wings.

He ascended a few steps made of marble just as I was ready to speak. I had no choice but to chase him on foot. Walking between the large columns, we passed room after room that was wide and light-filled. I found myself staring up at the chandelier over our heads. The teardrop bulbs shone brilliantly, like diamonds falling on us. It was so large and lengthy, and the ceiling was so high that our footsteps reverberated off of it, that all I could do was stare around like an idiot at everything I saw.

“Do you live here?” I asked with great admiration.

“I don’t just live here. I designed everything you see in here.”

My eyes grew wide as I turned to him. “What exactly is your—“

“Let’s get you to your room so you can make yourself better.” He cut me off. There was impatience in his tone.

“Wait...” I paused as we passed by another beautifully decorated door. “Am I going to stay here too?”

“Do you have any other choices?” He gazed at me with low brows. “When I found you in the woods, it seemed like you were heading for nowhere.”

“But this is too much for me... and you are too generous to help a worthless little wolf. So tell me, what makes this even possible?” I asked him, my eyes starting to well with tears. Yes, I was culture-shocked. One moment I was being thrown out of my pack, the next, some stranger wanted to treat me like a queen.

He crossed his muscular arms over his chest. “You’ll find out soon.”

“Welcome back, Alpha Calle.”

I looked at the man who just spoke. He was tall and had a commanding presence that demanded respect. The huge build of his body and the way he carried himself indicated that he was someone of importance, like how he welcomed my savior back.

‘Wait, what did he call him?’

Realization dawned on me as I connected the dots. The stranger who had rescued me was not just any ordinary person. “Y-you are an Alpha?”

My first instinct was to run away. Anything that had something to do with alphas made my nerves shiver in fear and anger. It seemed like I was allergic to them already as if my body had automatically recognized the danger they posed. If only Reina could take me away from here, I would disappear in no time. But she wasn’t talking to me just yet, and I couldn’t feel like I could shapeshift any longer.

But as I looked into Calles's eyes, I saw a kindness that contradicted my initial thoughts. Maybe not all Alphas were as horrible as Alpha Darius. More so, this man standing before me was the most attractive male I’d ever seen, with an olive skin tone, a prominent jawline, and dark hair that brushed against his broad shoulders. I was hesitant to ask about his age, but I think he was older than that jerk Lennon, but much younger than my brother, Jaime.

“Is there any problem with that?” he asked, referring to my question about him being an Alpha.

I wanted to blurt out the word ‘yes’, but I forced myself to shake my head. “N-nothing at all. I just can't imagine that someone like you would save me, that's all." I stammered, feeling my cheeks flush.

His piercing gaze softened, and a faint smile played at the corners of his lips. "Appearances can be deceiving. Anyway, that’s part of my territory. We're here to protect and serve, no matter who it may be," he said and turned to the man who remained standing by his side. “Beta Degen, gather everyone in the hall. I’ll check them out after I talk to the warriors.”

The man he called Beta Degen made a brisk nod. “Right away, Alpha.”

“Where’s Suzette, by the way?” asked Alpha Calle as he frowned slightly.

“She’ll be off for two days to visit her father.”

Beta Degen caught Alpha Calle’s continuous attention. I couldn’t help but wonder who Suzette was as they appeared to be talking once more in their heads. She might be the pack’s Luna, his mate.

After Beta Degen excused himself and headed back through the passing hall, Alpha Calle turned to me and said, “I will take you to your room. Everything is there, so you don’t need to worry about anything. And while I’m preoccupied with other things, I’ll delegate one of the staff to look after you. We’ll speak once my workload is under control.”

The location he was talking about was one of the doors we just passed in the hall. As we walked towards it, I couldn't help but wonder what awaited me behind that door. Would it be a simple room or something more significant, considering Alpha Calle's mention of delegating staff? The anticipation grew with each step we took. But then I gasped when he pushed me inside, and then he shut my door and left.

"Hey!" I called out, banging on the door. But there was no response. Worry started to rise within me as I realized I was locked in the room. But I took a moment to gather my thoughts and assess my surroundings until I noticed that everything was as impressive as the rest of the house. The bed was large and fluffy. The wall was painted in earth tones. There was even a large painting of the forest—on the lower left of the frame, there was a signature that read, Architect Calle Earheart.

He was a professional artist in the human world and an Alpha of the werewolves’ realm. How impressive.

When I gazed out the window, I mouthed ‘wow’, providing my eyes with a magnificent view of the forest. It looked unreal, toy-like even from afar.

“Couldn’t I be happy here?” I said, a smile almost curving across my face. But I was taken aback when memories of last night hit my head like a bullet. “No, I can’t accept any of this. What if this is just bait? What if Alpha Calle is no different from Alpha Darius? What if he wants me dead because I come from rogues?”

My stomach churned, recalling what Lennon had said. Alpha Calle of the Blood Moon Pack will arrive tonight…

“They’re allies. It means that Alpha Calle’s enemy is also Alpha Darius’s enemy.” The cold fear that seized my heart made me nauseous, and I nearly wanted to vomit. But no, weakness wasn’t appropriate at this time. “I have to leave this place immediately before it’s too late!”

Reina, where in the deepest pit of my freaking head are you hiding?

I was about to run to the door when it suddenly flew open, revealing Alpha Calle’s tall figure. “I knew it,” he growled, making me take a step back. “You want to leave because you don’t trust me.”

Alpha Calle was already a few inches from my horrified face before I could even move. “Please, let go of me!” I begged him as I shook in protest.

“Is that what you want?” His amber eyes grew darker as he roared. “Aren’t you hoping to exact revenge for what they did to you?”

“H-how did you—why do you know about…” I couldn’t form the words as fear and confusion consumed me.

“Answer my question!” he demanded, roaring with such force that the impact jolted my entire body.

“Yes!” I screamed as I shut my eyes. “I badly want to ruin their entire pack for destroying my heart and soul!”

“Then start by being an obedient little wolf,” he muttered roughly in my ears. For some reason, I felt a strange current running up and down my spine. My skin, on the other hand, hummed sweetly from his tight touch. “...and forget about escaping your sweet ass from this pack.”

Sitting by the river, I reflected on the wonderful occasions I had shared with my packmates, such as playing in the meadow, hunting, and rushing through the forest. I also thought back on the dark times, like when a maniacal alpha and black witches besieged our pack. But through it all, we stuck together and emerged stronger than ever before. It seemed like ages ago since those memorable times, and yet it felt like only yesterday when all of this started. I sighed heavily and closed my eyes for a moment. Suddenly, a voice called out to me through our mental link. "Luna Daphne, come back to us quickly! Our pack is under attack from rogue wolves. We need backup immediately! Alpha Calle is..." Her voice was like a cry coming out loud even though it can only be heard within minds linked together. "Kyla?" I croaked as panicked thoughts raced through my head, sending an adrenaline rush coursing through me. "Did you say rogue attack? Wait, where's Calle?" My muscles tensed up, and before

Suddenly, an eye of swirling air opened up as if it had been drawn on with a great lash, and then a hurricane rushed across the battlefield and made us all cover our faces to protect ourselves from the flying mud and chunks of trees. When it faded, Kurt and Kyla stood in the middle of the circle of bloody ground. They looked around with horror before their sights slowly fell on me. The dirt was churned up where they stood, and clots of grass were bent and tangled around their feet."Alpha Calle!" The twins rushed toward me. "You need to take this!"Before I could speak, Kyla put a small vial in my hands. Its liquid content glistened with an otherworldly glow, pulsating with an energy that seemed to hum in my palms. I only stared at it as Kurt spoke. "Daphne already regained her powers after drinking the elixir. She has probably defeated Lennon by now.""Please, Alpha, drink this before it's too late," Kyla pleaded.I took the small vial from Kyla's hands. The weight of their expectati

Alpha CalleI walked through the portal, feeling its electric energy tingle in my body. I emerged on the other side to find that South America had become a wasteland. People lay dead and dismembered everywhere; their blood soaked into what were once lush grasslands now barren of life. The trees were burnt black, smoke still rising from them like an ominous warning to all who dared venture near this cursed place. But there was one living being here: Alpha Khalid stood tall amongst it all, his silver hair blowing in the wind as he surveyed his pack's destruction with sadness and rage etched onto every line of his face. He gave me an exhausted look before addressing me without words: "You've returned!"“Of course," I replied firmly. "Let's go!"The fight had taken its toll, and I was exhausted. Sweat ran down my face as I blocked a werewolf's assault with my shield and slashed another one open with my sword. I could feel the shock that surged through me when I heard Alpha Khalid shout fo

LennonThe next day, I woke up alone in my den but five beautiful nymphs had come to remove their clothes so I could choose the woman I would sleep with next. They were all eager to please and each one was more ravishing than the last; from fair-skinned goddesses with long, voluminous hair, to dark-haired beauties with sparkling eyes.I felt like a king as I looked around me at all these beautiful women ready to serve me. It was truly a sight to behold and one that made me feel powerful. I slowly got out of bed and walked over to them, looking them each in the eye as if determining which of them would be my chosen companion for the night. Finally, after much consideration, I chose one of them who caught my attention straight away: an exotic beauty with almond eyes and long curly hair that framed her face perfectly. She blushed shyly when our gazes met and I couldn’t help but find it adorable. That night, we made love under the stars and I felt a connection with her unlike any other I

LennonI was dying. I could feel the lifeblood oozing out of my deep wounds, and each breath seemed to be my last. I had been crawling for hours, trying to escape the traitors who were after me. But in my weakened state, I had finally been caught and badly injured in the process. Now, there was no escaping death. My voice cracked and echoed through the empty night air, its plea for help unanswered. I lay helpless on the ground, surrounded by the fading warmth of my blood. Then, I heard them - a chorus of female voices, faint but getting ever closer. At first, I thought it was a dream, a trick of my mind brought on by the loss of blood. But no, I was lying on the cold earth outside a village entrance I had never seen before. The women came into view, stepping out from behind the gates in a rush. An otherworldly light illuminated their hands as they moved in perfect unison. With each passing second, the wounds on my body slowly healed until not even one scar remained. These women were n

DaphneLennon snapped his fingers, and the pack of wolves behind him began to move forward like pawns. The ground shook, and I used the tremor to my advantage. With a wave of my hand, the very earth below our feet seemed to become alive with energy. Giant roots sprouted from the ground, wrapping around Lennon’s men like tentacles. The men fought against their bonds, but it was ineffective because my force was holding them fast."Enough!" Lennon shouted in shock as his voice reverberated off the forest walls all around us and then there was a strange silence. He stumbled back, glaring at me incredulously as he stepped forward, his dark eyes flashing with rage and determination. "What is this?! How are you doing this?"“I’m drawing on the power of the Moon Goddess, just as she has taught me," I replied firmly, my voice echoing in the silence of the bright sky. I felt a rush of strength course through me—this was a power that had been dormant in me for far too long, and now it was bubbli
