Her feet pounded against the ground, and with each push, she increased her momentum. She didn’t know where she was heading but it was way better than being near him. Stupidly, her mind began forming coherent thoughts and it was telling her to head back, be a little doll and do her fucking job.

If the elders knew they were in new surroundings and she left him alone, she wouldn’t hear the end of it because sadly enough, it was part of the deal they informed her on the first meeting inside the Shadow Court.

She didn’t look back and continued sprinting. Her heart was pounding hard, she could hear it in her ear. She couldn’t believe she was having a hard time running, she was the fastest runner, and hell, when it came to sprinting, she always turned up number one and not her father.
