Intense Attraction

The door opened to a very beautiful dining room, a long mahogany dining table with chairs and a chandelier hung from the ceiling. Fruits and bottles of drinks were arranged on the dining table. They walked towards the dining table as she looked around the room.

He let go of her hand as they reached the table and pulled out the chair beside the head for her to sit. She sat down, saying, "Thanks."

He nodded and pulled out his own chair at the head. He sat down and placed his arms on the table as she laced hers on her lap under the table. Fay looked up at him to see him staring at her. She felt herself blush at his penetrating stare and averted her gaze.

"So why aren't you the leader of The Five?"

"Pardon?" He asked her with one raised eyebrow that made him look hotter.

"You are the clearly the strongest out of The Five. Since your parents are both Lycans."

"Yes, I am, but I don't want to leave High Valley. Alpha Mason also seems to be very capable to lead us and he is the oldest."

"So can't you still live here if you become the leader?" She asked as she noticed how well defined his jaw was as he was talking.

"No, I would have to relocate to where Alpha Mason lives now, in the middle of our lands, Aldridge, to maintain peace and order."

"But as the leader, you could still pull some strings. Maybe have your Beta stay there on the look out."

"It is not only because of that. As I've said, Alpha Mason seems to be the right Lycan to lead us. He is the oldest, he has a mate when I didn't have one until tonight, and he is the most organized out of all of us."

"Alright, I understand. But I think you are meant to lead them because of everything I've heard about you and The Five growing up."

He looked at her in amusement and curiosity as his lips tugged up a bit, "Is that so? What else have you heard about me?"

"That you are very stern and strict that you hardly smile. I also heard that you are the fiercest in battles and that has made many afraid of going against you."

"But I smile with you, don't I? And the latter is true I suppose." He said and let out a chuckle.

"You do smile with me, but isn't that because I am your mate?"

He smiled broader at her as he took her right hand and brought it to his lips. He pressed his lips on the inside of her palm as he looked into her eyes. "Yes, Indeed, my one. I smile and laugh for you as I want you to smile and laugh for me."

She felt her own lips lift up in a smile as she couldn't pull away from his mesmerizing brown eyes, "That is how I prefer it be. You look the most handsome when you are smiling, and other shewolves won't be able to look away when you are."

He let out a deep chuckle, pulling his gaze from hers. He intertwined the fingers of the hand he kissed with his. "Is my beautiful mate jealous?"

"Yes, you are my mate and only mine." She said as she held his gaze again.

Her declaration made his pupils dilate as his wolf appreciated it. "I love how possesive you are of me, Fay. You are only mine too, I can't stand it if another male looked at you the way I do."

She smiled wider at him and it felt like they were being drawn closer to each other. Tension thickened as their faces became only a breath away. A knock on the opened door pulled them apart. Fay looked to see who had intentionally interrupted them. Alpha Clause's gaze also went to the door.

A male wolf of around twenty years of age walked in, holding a large tray of food. He had a grin on his face as some of his blond hair fell into his eyes. He was wearing a white top and dark jeans.

"Congrats, Alpha. I'm so happy you found your mate." The male wolf said as he placed the tray on the dining table. He started removing the dishes from the tray and placed them on the table.

"Thank you, Meister. Fay, this is the son of the pack house's cook, Rafael." Alpha Clause introduced as he looked from Fay to Meister.

"Nice to meet you, Meister. The dishes look so appetizing." She said as she gave him a small smile.

Meister grinned wider as he finished arranging the food on the table. "Thank you, Luna. It's very nice to meet you too."

She nodded as he turned to Alpha Clause, "I take my leave, Alpha."

"Good night." Alpha Clause replied and Meister nodded at Fay then turned around to walk to the door.

He pushed a plate of diced potatoes, shredded chicken, diced sausages and cut vegetables. "Eat, my Fay."

She smiled at him as she picked up a spoon on the table in front of her and started eating. She looked around at the other dishes to see that each was duplicated.

So there was another plate of what she was eating with two apple pies, and two liver and kidney sauce. Alpha Clause also pulled the potato dish to his front. He picked the spoon in front of him and started eating too.

"Why are you against leaving High Valley?" She asked after swallowing the food she was chewing.

He looked at her as he scooped up some food in his spoon, "I grew up here, since it was more of a valley than a city. My parents died and left me in charge of the people here."

He placed the spoon in his mouth and chewed as he took the spoon from his mouth. Even that looked hot as Fay started to notice everything about him was so hot. It wasn't the mate bond that made her think that, but he was naturally hot. The kind of hotness that makes you unable to stop staring at him when you see him.
