Chapter 27 - Creed

From hearing Rebecca’s moan earlier to blocking them out and listening to Cherie finally giving me a glimpse into her past. Things are just snowballing; and from the look on Sage’s face, it’s about to get even weirder.

He called me over the mind link to tell me they’d come to a conclusion and wanted to speak with us about it.

I hold Cherie’s hand as we walk towards the two of them sitting in the living room space, and see an odd flush on Rebecca’s cheeks. There’s no scent of fucking in here, but it’s obvious these two want each other.

“Do I even want to know?” I ask, sitting down and dragging Cherie onto my lap. Fuck how awkward this looks because I just want her close to me. She stiffens in my embrace but then relaxes when I place my hand on her thigh.

Sage is not wearing his usual cocky grin when he looks at me and that itself is a dead giveaway. “Rebecca is willing to take me into her Keep and help me with finding out why the Unseelie Queen claimed me—I’ll tell you about it later,”
