Chapter Fourteen

The next thing I knew, I was groggily coming to the world, a blur of hazy shapes and colors. My head throbbed dully, and I struggled to make sense of my surroundings. It took a few moments for my eyes to adjust to the dim light from the window above the bed I was lying on.

“What the hell?” I groaned. Everything was in slow motion, but I tried to sit up and couldn’t. My hands and feet were shackled to the bed frame. “No. No. No…” I repeated as I tried yanking my hands free.

“Not feeling so safe now, are we?” Dash’s disgusting voice spoke across the room out of the darkness.

“Let me go, you bastard!” I screamed at him, yanking the chains holding me against my will.

His annoying chuckle echoed against the walls of the small room. “Why would I do that? We haven’t had our fun yet.”

“He’s going to kill you,” I hissed.

“Who? Dane?” I could see him grin in the shadows. “He can’t if you’re already dead. But before that, Let’s play.”
