An attraction

She leaned against the cool surface and waited for the dizziness to subside. That smell... She remembered it somewhere but couldn't put her finger on it.

Her eyes focused on the wall again and she realized that it was getting lighter. She looked around cautiously but everything seemed normal.

Nothing was out of place and the floor was covered by the carpet. Everything looked exactly the same. Except for the feeling in the air. It felt thick and oppressive but at the same time warm and comfortable.

The strange scent began to disappear when a bright light appeared.

No shadows. No dark shapes. Just light. It was definitely coming from the windows, which were open. How did it get open without opening it first? The only explanation was that somebody opened it.

Or perhaps... she thought as a shiver ran through her. The smell was getting stronger. She closed her eyes and concentrated on listening closely.

Except that the smell continued, stronger and stronger. Was that what she smelled ear
