Chapter 15

The Alpha was looking around in his drawers for something, and I had no idea what was going on.

He seemed frantic in finding it, so I remained in my seat, quietly.

When I had enough of sitting still, I decided to try and get some answers from him.

"Why aren't you killing me?" I asked him, really wanting to know his answer.

"Many reasons," he replied, not turning to look at me while he kept on his search.

"Can I know some of them?" I asked.

"For starters, you are a girl. Like I said, rogue she-wolves are rare, especially if they are alone," he said, taking a seat but looking thoughtful.

"That's all?"

"No, the mark on your neck, which proves you belong to an Alpha, also stopped me. I would be disrespecting his pack if I killed you. In anyway, if I did kill or hurt you, he could take it as a sign of me wanting to start a war- which is something I have no interest in whatsoever," he replied, looking at the ceiling.

He looked distracted by something and I was wondering what it was.
