Connor stayed at my house for the rest of that week, to make sure that I didn’t suffer any side effects of the bond being broken and I didn’t. Everything went back to normal the next day, everything except that hollow feeling inside my heart but I promised myself that I wouldn’t break down in front of him.

He left me reluctantly and only after I promised to stay in touch and answer my phone when he called. I would miss his presence as we had grown quite close. Archer called me every day but visiting was a bit difficult at the moment since he was undergoing clowder training and initiation which would last for the next six months.
