CHAPTER 56:

 

Their party was different than human parties. At least the ones she had attended. They all used to be wild with loud music and booze.

But here a man was playing slow music on piano and she was tugged along Ezequiel meeting everyone.

She was wearing a deep red, flouncy, one sided shoulder dress. Formal with a contemporary twist. She had paired the dress with ankle strap sandals, carrying a matching clutch. The bracelet Ezequiel had gifted her was glittering on her wrist.

Tonight her hair was tied in a neat chignon and after every few minutes, Ezequiel was rubbing his thumb lightly on her nape. Every time he used to find an excuse to touch her or hold her making her smile inwardly. But after few instants, she forced herself to remember that Ezequiel had to TALK!

She wanted to forget about it till the time would come. She wanted to enjoy the night.

He was laughing at something when she glanced his way.
